Take a load off your feet with 45% off this highly rated all-in-one robot vacuum cleaner – now just AU$1,540
Dreame's X40 Ultra is one of the "smartest" robovacs you can get
Black Friday sales are just over a month away and you've banned yourself from any big purchases before then, we know. That's why you should listen up when we tell you that this Amazon deal on Dreame's X40 Ultra robot vacuum is one worth breaking your rule for.
We'll get into the specifics below, but in our Dreame X40 Ultra review, our tester said it was "well worth the rather high asking price" – no mean feat considering it would normally set you back AU$2,799. In short, this robot vacuum is the ultimate cleaner.
It may have now been succeeded by the Dreame X50 Ultra, but this predecessor model handles hard-to-reach areas with ease, manoeuvres your home intelligently, lifts its mop away to keep your carpets dry and has top-tier suction power. Down 45%, it's the purchase to make if you're looking to limit your chores this summer.
It doesn't quite crack our list of the best robot vacuums, but that’s mainly because competitors offer similar experiences at more affordable prices. Thankfully, this hefty 45% discount fixes that gripe, and it’s now comfortably one of the top options you can buy. Its thorough vacuuming and mopping, excellent mapping, and deeply customisable cleaning make it an easy recommendation. Do note, the app can be a tad clunky, and replacing the dust bags will be an ongoing cost.
It might not have the name recognition of a Dyson or Shark, but Dreame is right up there with the best of the best in the cleaning and personal appliance space – especially with its robot vacuums.
While it has now been succeeded, the X40 Ultra represents a huge improvement on the X30 in terms of intelligence, tracking and its feature-set – handling all your vacuuming and mopping needs. Plus, its base station automatically empties its dustbin, refills its water tank and cleans the mopping system.
Where it really sets itself apart from other top robovacs on the market, however, is that it leaves the mop pads behind when vacuuming, automatically dispenses floor-cleaning fluid and it can recognise a large number of objects with its cameras (and smartly avoid them).
And, don't assume this beast of a vacuum might take an engineering degree to get set up. It took only 10 minutes for the X40 Ultra to get its bearings in our tester's 80 sqm home, thoroughly impressing with its mapping talents.
Other than its steep regular price, the only reasons we found not to buy it were if your pets are heavy shedders or if your home is entirely carpeted, as you would simply waste its mopping skills.
Otherwise, it's a fantastic pickup for any home – never more than this current 45% saving. If you're looking for something cheaper, but still effective, check out the deal below.
In our review of the X40 Ultra, we actually recommended this machine for those looking for a more affordable robovac. Earning four stars in our Dreame L20 Ultra review, our main gripe was its original price tag. Now, for just AU$799, its vacuuming, mopping and self-cleaning abilities, as well as its long-lasting battery life, are much more attractive.
