I ran a marathon with the Garmin Epix Pro – it just hit half price, and I'd recommend it to every runner

I don't think it's any secret to regular readers on this site that I love my Garmin watches, but I've got a special love for the Garmin Epix Pro (Gen 2). I reviewed it when it first came out, and it's the watch I used to run the London marathon (well, alongside the Apple Watch Ultra 2).

It's stacked to the brim with navigational features like full-color maps and a bright AMOLED screen, making it feel just as much like a full smartwatch as it does a rugged training tool. I would load my London training routes onto the Garmin watch so it could guide me around my 20-kilometer weekend long runs, giving me turn-by-turn directions within the workout app itself. It's still the best experience I've had running with a smartwatch, and I've tried a lot of them.

An incredible half price on an incredible watch. I gave the Garmin Epix Pro (Gen 2) 4.5 stars in my review, largely because of its high price. At under £400, I'd buy this over a similarly-priced Forerunner watch in a heartbeat.

Wondering if this was unique, I started taking a look around in the US as well, and while I'm not quite seeing any half price deals, it's almost there: the Epix Pro (Gen 2) 51mm is on sale from $999.99 down to just $619.99 at Walmart. That's nearly a $400 saving.

Save $380 on the largest Epix Pro (Gen 2) with the biggest battery life, up to an impressive 28 days. Multi-GNSS with SatIQ for super-accurate satellite positioning, and the latest Elevate V5 heart rate sensor, make its metrics the equal of any premium Garmin watch.

Don't let it age fool you: its up-to-date parts offering accurate metrics, its powerful navigational features and rock-solid, adventure-ready hardware make this Garmin watch a steal. Right now, I'd say it's the best value Garmin on shelves – but these deals won't be around forever. Best get 'em while they're hot!
