I've been reviewing Garmins for years: here are the only Prime Day Garmin deals I think are worth buying

It's the last day of the Amazon Prime Day sales, so it's also your final chance to get a good deal on some of the best Garmin watches. Surprisingly, they've been harder to find this year than in previous Prime Days, but I've still managed to track down some great deals.
I've been reviewing Garmin watches for years. I'm wearing the Garmin Venu 4 as I type this, and I've battle-tested Garmin's cheapest and most expensive offerings in varied climates, from hiking in Portugal's hills, to swimming in the Baltic sea, to running the London Marathon. As a result, I know my Garmins.

I also know my Garmin deals, so I can confidently say there's a Garmin on this page to suit most fitness enthusiasts. Whether you're a beginner runner, someone looking for an Apple Watch alternative, or a seasoned marathoner, there's a good chance you'll find something you'll like here. Prices vary with different colors and sizes, but in the links below, I've highlighted the biggest discounts and linked through to some of my full reviews.

Garmin's entry-level running watch hasn't changed in years, but it's still a solid no-frills GPS watch with a long-lasting battery life (up to two weeks in smartwatch mode) and enough tools – such as Fitness Age, Lifestyle Logging and advanced running metrics – to see beginner-to-intermediate runners over the finish line. Why mess with perfection?
The Vivoactive 5 may have recently been supplanted by the Vivoactive 6, but it's still a terrific lifestyle watch with a lovely AMOLED screen, designed to straddle the gap between fitness tool and true smartwatch. A really cool Apple Watch alternative. Prices vary slightly, but the Orchid and Ivory colors are the cheapest.
The Instinct 2 is a certified outdoor watch classic, with loads of cool navigational abilities useful for anyone from hikers to runners to cyclists. Availability is limited in some sizes and colorways, but the 45mm black option has you saving $60.
I called this "the most innovative Garmin watch in years" in my Garmin Venu X1 review. One of Garmin's latest watches, this premium powerhouse boasts a gorgeous AMOLED screen, LED torch and loads of fitness features. You can save $100 on the Venu X1 right now.
A true workhorse multi-sport watch, triathletes, marathoners and other serious fitness enthusiasts will get the most out of the Fenix 7X Pro, especially with its Power Glass battery-lengthening Solar technology. Save 20% on the sticker price, an impressive $200. If you've got smaller wrists, the 42mm Fenix 7S Pro is available for an even cheaper $736.97 at Amazon.

This year's excellent AMOLED Garmin Instinct 3 watch earned 4.5 stars in my review, and right now you can save 21% off list price. With Garmin's LED torch, an up-to-date suite of fitness metrics and tough rugged aesthetics, it's ready for the trail. This discount is only available in the 45mm size and black colorway.
A smaller 35mm case with a unique patterned lens, the Lily is Garmin's attempt to make a daintier watch that still packs a lot of its fitness tools. You can save £40 on Amazon right now.
Most sizes of the Garmin Fenix 8 have small discounts, but by far the biggest is the 43mm version, which nets you a saving of over £100. I called the Fenix 8 "rugged, expensive perfection" in my review, and awarded it a perfect five stars. I'd recommend it to anyone with a larger budget and is looking for an all-terrain fitness companion.
The Vivoactive 5 is Garmin's answer to the Apple Watch, the Pixel Watch or the Samsung Galaxy Watch: a long-lasting fitness tool with extensive health monitoring features, sleep logging, workout tracking and all of Garmin's usual fitness features, while retaining the look of a proper smartwatch. Save sixty quid.
