The 10 best Bluetooth speaker Black Friday deals, based on our reviewers' testing

We really like this portable speaker, and we like it even more with 22% off the sticker price. In our Sonos Roam 2 review, we praised its rich, clear sound, its fun design and its cross-genre capability. We also liked that it's lightweight and easy to move around, something that you can't say about every portable speaker. One of the key benefits of this speaker is that it has Wi-Fi, so it can work in a Sonos multi-room setup as well as on-the-go.

In our JBL Go 4 review, we said that "if you’re looking for a conveniently sized and reliably designed speaker on a budget, you won’t be disappointed with the JBL Go 4." It's a great go-anywhere speaker that we rate as being our preferred cheap option among the best Bluetooth speakers – it was already aggressively priced, and this deal makes it even more attractive.

The cute Clip 5 sounds fantastic for such a small speaker and delivers surprisingly hefty bass, as we said in our JBL Clip 5 review. With adjustable EQ, Auracast connectivity, IP67 dust and water resistance and long battery life, our review said it's "an ideal outdoor speaker". This isn't quite the cheapest it's ever been, but it's a great price.

In our JBL Flip 7 review we called it "the new portable Bluetooth speaker boss" and gave it a perfect five stars, because it punches so far beyond its price tag. It's a "divine performer", we said, with punchy, detailed and full-scale sound, great battery life and hardy build quality. This is its lowest price so far, and is an especially nice discount for a product that only came out a few months ago.

JBL's Charge 5 is a party monster that delivers surprisingly sophisticated sound and goes very, very loud. In our JBL Charge 5 review we gave it 4.5 out of 5 stars for its great audio, long battery life and versatility: it's as happy on a bookshelf as it is on the beach, and at this price it's a booming bargain. It even charges your phone!

We're longstanding fans of Bose audio kit, and have often bought them with our own money – including SoundLink speakers, which consistently sound like much bigger and much more expensive devices. In our SoundLink Flex Gen 2 review we loved its "elegant" design, its "satisfyingly clean" audio output and the fact that it offers "a significant sonic step-up from almost any budget portable speaker."

There's a lot to like about the revamped Beats Pill, and we like it a lot. In our Beats Pill review we praised its "excellent" audio quality, its 24-hour battery life and its stylish looks, and its powerful bass. As ever with Beats it was a little pricey at launch, but this Black Friday deal takes a third off the list price – and at that price, this Beats deal is hard to... wait for it... beat.

At full price we gave the Wonderboom 4 four and a half stars out of five. It's small but mighty for indoor and outdoor use, and if you want a punchy speaker that's still as small as a coffee mug then this is an excellent option. It was, and is, one of the best Bluetooth speakers you can buy - especially at this price.

We really like Marshall's punchy home speaker, the Acton III. Taking its design cues from the legendary Marshall guitar amps – but in a considerably more portable size – the Acton is a powerful Bluetooth speaker with a 30W Class D amplifier for the woofer and twin 15W amps for the tweeters. That means it can go very loud, and as you'd expect it's particularly entertaining for rock music – although it's also an excellent all-rounder.

We've reviewed tons of Soundcore speakers and we're consistently impressed by the way they punch above their price tag. While this is the one speaker here we haven't tested yet, we just had to mention it: it's specifically for the shower singers (or outdoor explorers, we guess) as it has IP67 dust and water resistance, and while a speaker this small isn't going to rock the block it delivers a surprisingly big sound and has 10 hours of battery life.
