We called them “still the best headphones in the world thanks to their class-leading noise-cancelling features and well-balanced audio.” In fact, our only significant criticism was the price tag being steeper than previous models in exchange for marginal gains. This kind of deal makes that way less of an issue.

Otherwise, you get “excellent noise-cancellation” and “wonderful sounding performance.” It even has “an app you’ll actually want to use.” I use the app regularly with my older Sony WH-1000XM3 headphones, and yes, it’s an easy and genuinely useful app to use. These are some of the best headphones around, only recently being beaten by the newer model, the Sony WH-1000XM6.
