I know exactly which hotel The White Lotus season 4 will use for its trip to France – HBO, prove me wrong

- The White Lotus season 4 will reportedly be set in France
- HBO has declined to officially comment
- No other details have been confirmed
According to a report from Deadline, HBO has "zeroed in" on France as the next location for The White Lotus season 4. Reps from the channel have declined to comment, with sources stressing that no specific hotel has been locked in at this stage.
Deadline's money, however, is on Grand-Hôtel du Cap-Ferrat in the French Riviera. But I have other ideas. In fact, I'd go as far as to say that the answer is incredibly obvious, so much so I'd wager all of the cash in my back account on it (which is about £4.51, so don't get too excited).
Let's look back over the last few years; If you rewatch episodes on HBO Max, you'll see season 1 set in Hawaii, season 2 in Italy, and The White Lotus season 3, which only came out earlier this year, in Thailand.
Here's the question: how long can creator Mike White continue to take his A-List cast to stunning summer locations before the strategy gets too worn out? I think The White Lotus season 4 is the perfect moment to shake things up a bit, and that means giving the internet what it's been asking for: the ultimate winter vacation.
Opinion: Four Seasons Hotel Megève has to be the location for The White Lotus season 4
Look at her, guys. Isn't she beautiful? Set on the Mont d'Arbois slopes, the Four Seasons Hotel Megève boasts private golf courses, ski-in, ski-out access, the region's largest spa and infinite locations – all fitting of a rich family blowout.
While sources have alleged no hotel has been confirmed for The White Lotus season 4, we know that previous seasons have struck up a partnership with Four Seasons hotels (as in, White Lotus hotels are actually Four Seasons hotels).
Of course, there are other Four Seasons hotels in France, and it's just as possible White could go rogue and plant down roots away from the brand. But let's assume the latter isn't going to be the case – there's absolutely no evidence to suggest the pair would stop working together.

Then there's the reason why I've zeroed in on ski season on HBO's behalf. Think back to any comedy series or sitcom you've ever seen, and there will likely be a posh, out-of-touch character who talks about spending time at a ski resort as if it was the sole reason they exist (like Amanda in Motherland). There's no sense of self-awareness or capability to touch grass, and who does that remind us of?
The internet has also been demanding The White Lotus season 4 be set at a ski resort since before season 3 was released, and it would be incredibly easy for White to lean into demand and make his smash hit success have even more longevity. Personally, I can't think of anything more fitting than multiple existential crises playing out on a beautiful mountain top, complete with ski accidents and magnums of champagne.
There's an irresistible opportunity to dig into the self-contained bubble that is Après-ski culture, and White would be a fool not to hit up the goldmine. France as The White Lotus season 4's location only adds ammo to the theory that the time is now, and I absolutely cannot wait.
