Good news — IKEA has a huge range of clever storage ideas that will help you make better use of the space you already have, reducing clutter and leaving you more room to cook. As TechRadar's homes editor, and the owner of a particularly bijou kitchen, I've put together a list of my favorite storage solutions to keep your cooking area well organized.

A kitchen island can be an extremely handy way to add extra storage to a kitchen, but they're also costly to install, and you might not have enough space to make it practical. If so, I recommend taking a look at IKEA's range of smart utility cards, which come in a wide variety of colors and sizes so you can find something to fit your home. They're ideal for towels, pots and pans, and root vegetables — and thanks to their wheeled bases, you can tuck them away between uses.
