I'm a trained barista, and these are my 5 top espresso machine deals in this year's Labor Day sales
Save hundreds of dollars off the coffee maker of your dreams

If you've been thinking about picking up a new coffee maker, the Labor Day sales are a great opportunity, with hundreds of dollars off top-rated espresso machines. I'm TechRadar's resident coffee expert, and I've combed through all of this year's best Labor Day sales to bring you the cream of the crop, and save you time and effort.
For me, one of the best deals right now is the Smeg BCC12 fully automatic espresso machine, which is now just $599.95 (was $720) at Wayfair. This minimalist coffee maker is surprisingly compact, and brews exceptional espresso at the touch of a button. Its sibling, the Smeg BCC13, took the prize for best coffee maker in last year's TechRadar Choice Awards, and the only real difference between the two is the milk frothing system.
If you're the only coffee fan in your household, I also highly recommend the Philips LatteGo 3300 Series, which is now $679 (was $899.99) at Wayfair. This little automatic espresso machine has a clever design that means you won't be left with lots of water and beans sitting around between brews, and you can pour just enough milk for one drink at a time into the carafe. With over $200 off, it's even easier to recommend.
Today's best coffee maker deals
This cute bean-to-cup espresso machine is one of Smeg's newest models (I'll be testing it soon for TechRadar) and it's already received a hefty discount thanks to Harrod's. Delivery to the US is $30, but it's still much cheaper than other stores, which are all selling it for $999. I'm expecting a lot from this 50s-style coffee maker, and it's rare to see a deal on such a new model.
This little espresso machine is ideal for one person, and its LatteGo milk foaming system is specially designed to deliver silky microfoam without any wastage. I recently tested its big brother, the Philips LatteGo 5500 Series, and was impressed by how well it performs, particularly for its price. The key difference between the two machines is that this model only prepares hot drinks, not cold ones.
The La Specialista Arte Evo earned a full five stars in our review thanks to its super compact design that won't dominate your kitchen, and easy operation that makes brewing perfectly extracted espresso refreshingly simple. It's a great deal with $200 off at Wayfair for Labor Day, so grab it while you can.
The Smeg BCC12 is a compact and slim bean-to-cup machine, and is the close sibling of the superb BCC13 that took last year's TechRadar Choice award for best coffee maker. Both the grinder and pump are surprisingly quiet, and it brews excellent espresso time after time. With over $100 off, it's a great deal. You could easily pay twice as much for an espresso machine that's not as good.
Another espresso machine that received our maximum score of five stars, the De'Longhi Rivelia features the company's proprietary BeanAdapt system to optimize brew settings, plus a top-notch milk frothing system. This deal only applies to this taupe colored version, and knocks a huge $300 off the regular price.
If you can't see an espresso machine here that quite meets your needs, or you're looking for a Nespresso machine or drip coffee maker instead, take a look at my complete roundup of the best coffee makers, all of which have been thoroughly tested and recommended by us here at TechRadar.
