The Apple Watch Ultra 2 is a fantastic watch, and with the Apple Watch Ultra 3 out in the world, it's no surprise the Ultra 2 has now decreased in price, which is great news for smartwatch fans. You can check out our Amazon Prime Day hub for our pick of the sales but, as someone who spends a lot of time evangelizing about Garmin watches, this sort of deal is just the thing to tempt me to switch.

Today's best Apple Watch Prime Day deals

Apple Watch Ultra 2 (Black Titanium)
Apple Watch Ultra 2 (Black Titanium): was $799 now $649 at Amazon

US deal: The Apple Watch Ultra 2 is a powerful workhorse of a watch, with a bright 3,000-nit AMOLED screen, programmable action button, and up-to-date Apple smarts using the latest software. At this price, it's a better buy than the full-price Apple Watch Ultra 3.

Apple Watch Ultra 2 (Black Titanium)
Apple Watch Ultra 2 (Black Titanium): was £649 now £609 at Amazon

UK deal: In the UK, the discount is technically smaller than the US deal, but it's still the lowest-ever price on this watch in the UK, according to our deal-checking tools. This deal is only for the Black Titanium model.

The Apple Watch Ultra 2 has almost all the features of the all-new Ultra 3, making any significant discount on this watch a stellar value purchase. It's only missing a couple of hardware bits, such as 5G connectivity, satellite, and an additional six hours of battery life. All the software-based Apple Intelligence features, a comprehensive suite of workout metrics, and the smorgasbord of third-party apps available are all present and correct. Apple doesn't normally see big discounts, making these deals even more tempting.

As a keen runner, I've always been invested in Garmin's ecosystem, and I'm currently rocking this year's Garmin Venu X1. However, a tempting discount on an Apple Watch Ultra 2 might just convince me to switch – it's currently lurking in my basket, and the urge to buy is growing stronger...

Apple Watch Series 10 (42mm, GPS-only)
Apple Watch Series 10 (42mm, GPS-only): was $399 now $279 at Amazon

US deal: Last year's mainline Apple Watch 10 (42mm, GPS-only) is a terrific buy at a 30% discount, again the lowest price we've ever seen it. It's not got the titanium casing or extended battery of the Watch Ultra series, but it runs the same software and it's more than enough watch for most people. If you're looking for an everyday Apple Watch, it's a terrific buy at this price.

The GPS + Cellular model, which can be added to a data plan, is available for just $329 from Amazon (down from $499).

Apple Watch Series 10 (46mm, GPS-only)
Apple Watch Series 10 (46mm, GPS-only): was $429 now $309 at Amazon

US deal: An even better discount, save $120 on the larger 46mm version of the Series 10 with the medium/large band, with its sumptuous curved display.

The GPS + Cellular version is available for $359 (down from $529) on Amazon.
