As someone who both reviews fitness kit and runs long distances for fun, I've spent a lot of time testing running headphones, and it's hard to find many that are better than Shokz. I tend to alternate between the Shokz OpenFit 2+ open-ear headphones and the Shokz OpenRun Pro 2 bone conduction headphones, preferring the OpenRun Pro 2 for race-day events. Yes, that's my ear in the picture above.

Right now, you can save $55 as the Shokz OpenRun Pro 2 have been reduced to $124.95 at Amazon (was $179.95), as well as on the Shokz website. Likewise, the Shokz OpenFit 2+, which are true wireless earbuds rather than a single unit, are on sale for $159.95 at Amazon (was $199.95), saving you $40.

Save $55 on the Shokz OpenRun Pro 2. They're incredibly comfortable, not needing the elastic secure fit loop that many of these headsets require to prevent them bouncing around. We called them "the ideal runners' headphones" in our review. No wonder they're my performance pick.

Save $40 on my choice of comfort headphones, with the freedom only true wireless earbuds provide. They deliver incredible Dolby sound you can tweak when connected to the Shokz app: I frequency forget they're actually open ears.

The chief difference between the OpenRun and OpenSwim series is in waterproofing and music storage. Bluetooth doesn't conduct well underwater, so the OpenSwim Pro headphones offer a 32GB MP3 player inside the unit. They also work perfectly well on land as well as water.

UK deal: Our best bone conduction headphones for running, the Shokz OpenRun Pro 2 is also discounted by 20%. They're ideal for running races and cycling, which require spatial awareness by keeping your ears open, and the sound quality is stellar too.

Many organised races actually don't allow runners to wear in-ear headphones anymore, so participants either have to get on the open-ear headphone wagon or raw-dog it for the duration.

Shokz are without a doubt the most popular, and I personally find them the best in terms of fit and sound quality. That's why I recommend them to my pals, and it's why I'm recommending these Black Friday deals to you.
