iPhone 5 price: deals and prices compared

Target

According to a Target sales representative, the retailer will start carrying the iPhone 5 – though when and for how much she didn't know.

The phone will be available both online and in one of Target's 1,700-pluse store locations, but the representative couldn't specify whether the phone would be pre-paid or through a carrier.

She did say Target typically carries all varieties of a phone, meaning it should be available in the 16GB, 32GB and 64GB flavors.

Verizon

Verizon's got a bit of an interesting data situation going on.

The carrier has 12 different Share Everything plan options. All come with unlimited talk and text. The differences lie in the data, which runs from 300MB a month to 20GB a month.

Verizon does promise 4G LTE for its iPhone 5s.

One stick in the mud for some existing customers is that Verizon isn't allowing those with unlimited data plans to get an iPhone 5 for a subsidized price. The carrier got rid of its unlimited data plans for new customers a few months ago, shifting them onto a tiered system.

Those who have unlimited data plans will either have to give them up for a cheaper phone or pay full price to for limitless data. It's one or the other.
