Check out all of Amazon's early Prime Day deals

Prime Day may not be until next week, on October 7-8, but there are sales on many 4K Blu-rays available now. I've been searching through the available deals, and below, I've picked 5 that I think 4K Blu-rays fans should check out.

4K Blu-ray is popular here at TechRadar, both as a source for testing TVs and soundbars and because we're collectors ourselves! Some of the discs below have featured in our monthly Blu-ray Bounty, and others are part of my personal collection.

There are a ton of 4K Blu-rays on sale ahead of Prime Day next week, October 7-8, such as Jaws, Raiders of the Lost Ark, Zodiac and The Shining, to name a few, and I've picked 5 of my top 4K discs. Some of these have featured in our Blu-ray Bounty column, and others are from my personal collection! Check out the 5 discs I've picked below.

Sinners

Featured in the July 2025 edition of the Blu-ray Bounty, Sinners not only looks stunning thanks to its deep blacks, strong contrast and vibrant colors, but its amazing Dolby Atmos soundtrack really shines on a home theater system. One scene in the barn in particular has some of the best spatial sound I've ever heard, with instruments so accurately placed, I felt like I was in the barn with them when I watched.

Top Gun: Maverick

Top Gun: Maverick is a staple disc in my testing lineup. On 4K Blu-ray, it has 3D-like textures and detail and is perfect for showing off the best soundbars, with flight sequences giving surround speakers and subwoofers a real workout. For those who want to really flex their home theater system, watch the Darkstar flight test sequence at the start of the movie.

Alien: Romulus

First featured in the December 2024 Blu-ray Bounty, Alien: Romulus has entered my testing rotation. It's got tons of scenes with powerful contrast that are a real showcase for the best OLED TVs and its Dolby Atmos soundtrack will have you on the edge of your seat. While Alien: Romulus is available on streaming, it deserves to be watched on 4K Blu-ray.

The Warriors

When the 4K Blu-ray of The Warriors from Arrow Video was released, I added it to my collection straight away, and it didn't disappoint. Textures are refined, colors pop and contrast and shadow detail are enhanced by Dolby Vision. Plus, there's a good level of film grain maintained for cinephiles. It's got a great soundtrack too, thanks to a new Dolby Atmos mix that delivers the sounds of 1970s New York with precision.

The Crow (1994)

A cult hit of the 1990s, The Crow is unfortunately best remembered for the tragic on-set death of lead actor Brandon Lee. Released for the movie's 30th anniversary, this 4K restoration gives it another chance and is worth checking out. Watching it, black tones are deep and rich, textures look authentic and the 5.1 DTS-HD Master Audio mix gives action-packed scenes plenty of impact.
