Top tech of the month: the best new gadgets we've tested for May 2026

Here at TechRadar, we test dozens of new products each month, and the past four weeks have served up some truly great gadgets. Below, I've rounded up all the top-scoring articles that passed through the doors to our testing rooms.

Amongst the standouts are a "fantastic" OLED TV (the LG G6), a telephoto lens our Cameras Editor is "desperate to have in my gear bag" (the Nikon Z 70-200mm f/2.8 VR S II), a headset that "sets a new standard for open-back gaming audio" (the Sony Inzone H6 Air) and a pair of bookshelf speakers that are "crystal clear, fathoms deep and sound at least twice their size" (Dali Sonk 1).

We were also blown away by an affordable new mic from DJI (the Mic Mini 2, which isn't currently available in the US sadly), and some premium open-back headphones that we think are "an exceptional audio investment" (the Sony Inzone H6 Air).
