Avengers: Doomsday video teases more ties between Robert Downey Jr's Doctor Doom and Tony Stark – and a new clue about the Marvel film's plot
- A new teaser for Avengers: Doomsday has been released online
 - It appeared on the TikTok account for the movie's directors' production company
 - The behind-the-scenes video seems to contain clues about its plot

Another day, another cryptic teaser for Avengers: Doomsday – and this one appears to include more big clues about its story.
The video, which you can view below, was uploaded to the official TikTok account for AGBO, the production company founded by the Marvel movie's directors Joe and Anthony Russo. And, while it's yet another behind-the-scenes recording that doesn't contain any actual footage from the flick, it's clearly trying to tell us something important.
@agbofilms no seriously, what’s going on?

The first and more obvious story-based hint concerns the Doctor Doom and Iron Man masks displayed throughout the video.
Ever since Robert Downey Jr was publicly unveiled as the actor who'll play Victor von Doom in Doomsday and Avengers: Secret Wars, fans have suspected there's a connection between his two Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) characters.
The prevailing theory is that Doom will be a multiversal variant of the MCU's Stark/Iron Man, who Downey Jr portrayed between 2008 and 2019. More fuel was added to that hypothesis' fire in July when the Marvel superstar appeared to tease he'd have a dual role in the MCU movie.
The Russos' latest teaser only adds further weight to that theory. Indeed, the TokTik shows two women standing back-to-back, with one holding an Iron Man mask and the other holding Doctor Doom's iconic face covering. With the pair standing back-to-back, the implication is that Doom is a Stark doppelganger who ended up walking a different path to his MCU counterpart.

As for the other clue, that can be seen at the 0:13 mark. As the camera pans round to show the woman holding Doom's mask, the costumes that'll be worn by Doom, Sue Storm, and Franklin Richards can be glimpsed in the background.

It's a cleverly positioned Easter egg that's predictably become a hot topic of conversation among fans.
For one, it's a clear call back to The Fantastic Four: First Steps' mid-credits scene, which included the aforementioned trio. However, the decision to show these three characters' outfits is also noteworthy because of what happens in the 2015 version of Marvel's 'Secret Wars' comic book series.
Potentially huge spoilers follow for Avengers: Doomsday and Avengers: Secret Wars.

In 2015's 'Secret Wars', Sue Storm becomes the wife and queen of God Emperor Doom, who lauds it over a patchwork planet known as Battleworld following the collapse of the Marvel multiverse. In this rewritten reality, Franklin is also Doom's son.
The Russo brothers have sought inspiration from both 'Secret Wars' comic series for the next two Avengers films, so it stands to reason that the above storyline will be adapted and used at the end of Doomsday or as a major plot point in Secret Wars. If true, it can't be a coincidence that Doom, Storm, and Richards' costumes were placed in the background of the Russos' latest TikTok.
