Monarch: Legacy of Monsters is ready to make its titanic return to Apple TV. The sci-fi series' sophomore season will debut worldwide later this week, so fans of Legendary's Monsterverse will want to know when its first episode will be released.
In this guide, I'll tell you when season 2 episode 1, titled 'Cause and Effect' will make its bow on Apple's streaming service. You'll also find a full release schedule for the Godzilla and Kong-starring program towards the end of this article, so you can see when the rest of this season will drop.
What is the launch time for Monarch: Legacy of Monsters season 2 episode 1?
Last November, Apple confirmed Monarch: Legacy of Monsters season 2 would premiere on Friday, February 27. However, in North and South America, the tech giant has a habit of releasing new episodes of its TV Originals the evening before they're supposed to arrive.
If Monarch: Legacy of Monsters season 2 follows suit, its opening chapter should air on Thursday, February 26 in the Americas. Due to the time difference between these continents and the rest of the world, viewers in Europe, Africa, Asia, and Oceania will still need to tune in on February 27 to watch 'Cause and Effect'.
Based on the above, here's when I predict we'll see season 2's first entry (NB: dates and times are subject to change if season 2 episode 1 doesn't release early in North and South America):
- US — Thursday, February 26 at 6pm PT / 9pm ET
- Canada — Thursday, February 26 at 6pm PT / 9pm ET
- UK — Friday, February 27 at 2am GMT
- India — Friday, February 27 at 7:30am IST
- Singapore — Friday, February 27 at 10am SGT
- Australia — Friday, February 27 at 1pm AEDT
- New Zealand — Friday, February 27 at 3pm NZDT
Monarch: Legacy of Monsters season 2 full release schedule: when do new episodes come out?
Following its one-episode premiere, new installments of Monarch season 2 are currently slated to arrive every Friday.
As I outlined above, though, they could drop every Thursday evening in the Americas if Apple chooses to release them earlier than expected. If that's the case, new episodes will arrive weekly until this season's 10th and final episode is out on Thursday, April 30 / Friday, May 1.
