This year's Black Friday deals are nearly here, and at Argos that means great discounts on 4K TVs, smartphones, toys, laptops and smart home devices. Whether you're in the market for a new iPhone, a widescreen TV or a Lego set, there'll be something for you.
Black Friday takes place on November 29 this year, but we expect Argos to start its deals before then. Last year it released its first deals on November 18 and kept the discounts going well past Black Friday and Cyber Monday.
Argos itself is already dropping a few hints about what's coming in this year's sale, but we've also made some predictions of our own based on the best deals on offer last year.
Argos has also released some great pre-Black Friday deals, including the 10-week Crazy Codes toy sale, which gives you a different discount code every Wednesday to redeem against popular brands including Nerf, Lego and Chad Valley.
Low prices aren't the only reason to shop at Argos on Black Friday though. This year the store is offering a few extras to tempt deal-hunters, including the ability to snag some great deals on Black Friday and pay for them gradually over time with its own Argos Card.
There's also Argos Care, which provides extra insurance for your new Black Friday purchases, and is well worth considering if you're picking up a laptop or large appliance.
We'll be rounding up all the best Argos Black Friday deals, plus any special early offers, so bookmark this page and check back regularly to make sure you don't miss out.

We've also rounded up the 10 best mobile phones you can buy from Argos in November 2019.
Argos Black Friday delivery
The sheer volume of people hunting for a great deal on Black Friday means delivery services will be under extra strain. Argos told TechRadar that it will have hundreds of extra drivers on the streets over the Black Friday and Cyber Monday period to cope with demand, so you should be able to get your new purchases without delay.
Fast Track delivery will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. Alternatively, if you're not in a hurry, you can opt for Click and Collect, and pick up your order from an Argos or Sainsbury's store at a later date, once the crowds have subsided.
Use your Nectar points at Argos
Argos is owned by Sainsbury's, and is therefore part of its Nectar card scheme. Every 500 points you've collected on your card will give you £2.50 towards your Black Friday bargains. To use your points, just sign into your Argos account (or create a new one) and enter your Nectar card number when prompted.
Now, when you shop at Argos online, you'll be given the option to spend your Nectar points at the checkout. It really is that simple.
The Argos Card
Argos also offers the option to spread the cost of Black Friday purchases with its own Argos Card. Unlike a regular credit card, this is a store card that can only be used at Argos and Sainsbury's on orders over £50.
As with any credit agreement, it's important to do your research first and make sure you'll be able to make your payments on time. It's also worth noting that the representative APR for the Argos card is 29.9% variable, which is well above the average for a credit card.
What are Argos's rivals doing for Black Friday?
Currys Black Friday deals
Currys hasn't kicked off its Black Friday deals yet, but we'd expect its Black Tag event (what it calls Black Friday) nearer the time, probably from November 25 until the week of Cyber Monday. Currys is great for computing, so expect great deals on laptops, computers, and possibly tablets too.
Amazon Black Friday deals
Amazon constantly publishes deals on various products, but the official sales begin 'later in 2019' according to its website. There's no knowing what Amazon will discount, but based on its typical sales slate it'll be everything ranging from tech and gadgets to alcohol, clothing, household objects and more.
Last year's best Argos Black Friday deals
Argos’s TV range tends to focus on the most mainstream sizes, so if you’re looking for a big discount on an eleventy billion-inch OLED it’s probably not the Black Friday destination for you. But that doesn’t mean there weren’t big discounts on big sets last year.
Argos chopped £150 off Philips’ 58PUS6203 58-inch smart TV, taking it down to £449, and it dropped the price of LG’s 65-inch LED HDR by £170, down to £629.
Argos offered some nice deals on audio-visual components and accessories too, and it also discounted the Now TV Stick, which with two months of Sky Cinema, and a one-day sports pass was half price at just £14.99.
Hitachi 43-inch Smart Ultra HD 4K
£369.99 £279.99 at Argos
You could get nearly £100 off this 43-inch 4K TV from Hitachi at Argos on Black Friday 2018 - so far we haven't been able to find it cheaper elsewhere.
We're also expecting some big savings on PS4s at Argos this Black Friday: we’re coming to the end of this particular console generation and that means significant reductions.
We saw that last year, with deals such as the VR Worlds bundle dropping from £350 to £179 and the PS4 Red Dead Redemption bundle dropping from £299 to £219.
There were some nice deals on PS4 games too, so for example you could pick up the brilliantly weird Nier: Automata for just £15.99. Rise of the Tomb Raider was down to just £11.99, and even the latest FIFA was discounted, down from £52 to £38.99.
PlayStation VR PS4 camera VR Worlds
£350 £179.99 at Argos
Considering the VR headset was £350 at launch, this bundle has come a long way as it includes the PS4 camera (which is required for PSVR to function in the first place) and a copy of VR Worlds, it was a fine selection of minigames to get you going on Black Friday 2018.
We reckon you’ll see some sweet Xbox One deals at Argos this Black Friday too. Last year the 1TB Xbox One S with Minecraft and Forza Horizon was down from £249 to £179.99, and the Battlefield V and Fortnite Xbox One S bundles were both £179 too.
The 1TB Xbox One S with two controllers dropped from £249 to £179.99, and there were hefty discounts on Xbox One games: Call of Duty: WWII dropped from £49.99 to £22.99, the Crash Bandicoot N.Sane Trilogy from £29.99 to £22.99, and Forza Horizon 4 from £40.99 to £26.99.
Argos Black Friday gaming discounts weren’t just on the big-name consoles. Sega’s Mega Drive Flashback was down from £49.99 to £44.99, while the Oculus Go dropped from £199.99 to £169.99.
Keep an eye out for peripherals, too: Black Friday at Argos often means discounts on controllers and gaming headphones.
1TB Xbox One S 2 controllers
£249.99 £179.99 at Argos Big fan of local multiplayer? Then this deal could have been for you in 2018, as it comes with two controllers. Both are the official wireless ones too, so you don't have to give your friend a dodgy knock-off.
Argos is particularly good for family-friendly laptops, and you can expect to see some decent discounting on laptops from household names such as HP and Lenovo.
Last year the HP 15.6-inch E2 laptop dropped from an already decent £279.99 to a super-cheap £229.99, and there were discounts across the Lenovo IdeaPad range: the 330S Core i5 dropped from £579.99 to £449.99 and the supremely portable IdeaPad 130S 11.6-inch laptop dropped from £179.99 to just £119.99.
There were some nice discounts on Chromebooks and gaming laptops too: the cool Acer Chromebook R11 fell to just £209.99 from the usual £279.99.
Lenovo Ideapad 130s laptop
£179.99 £119.99 at Argos
The Ideapad 130s is designed for life on the go, with a slim, lightweight build and eight hours of battery life. It features an HD LED screen, dual core processor, and runs Microsoft Windows 10s. Argos cut £60 off the price for Black Friday 2018
You don’t need to go to Amazon to get money off a Kindle Fire tablet on Black Friday. Last year Argos offered deep discounting on Amazon devices including £20 off the Fire 7, bringing it down to £29.99.
It discounted iPads too, although not by massive amounts: the iPad 9.7 (2018) was £20 off, bringing the price down to £299. We’d expect to see similar discounting on Amazon and Apple devices for Black Friday 2019 too.
Acer’s Iconia One was down too – from £179.99 to £129.99 – and with Argos currently showcasing a wide range of Android tablets we think we’ll see some decently discounted models this Black Friday.
Apple iPad 9.7 (2018):
£319 now £299 at Argos
It's rare to see any sort of discount on Apple products, so £20 off the latest iPad is somewhat of a coup. The same deal was available at John Lewis with an added two-year guarantee, but JL raised its price again, making Argos the best value on Black Friday 2018.
