And the good news is, thanks to Amazon's Spring Sales I'm seeing a lot of audiophile-grade products slashed in price, including the lowest ever price on the Activo Volcano in-ear monitors – was £99, now £69 (Save £30 / 30%) and Astell&Kern's superb CA1000T digital audio player system — was £2,299, now just £599. Yes, a massive 74% off and a new lowest-seen price there too.
If you want more on the products listed here, our in-depth Activo Volcano review can help, as can our Campfire Audio Solaris Stellar Horizon verdict (note that these are now half-price in the deals extravaganza).
Then, there's our five-star review of the Activo P1 hi-res audio player. The DAP is usually £399 on its own, but is now in not one but two bundle deals that effectively make the excellent Activo Q1 IEMs free if you got for the premium bundle, (or £100 cheaper than the RRP even with IEMs if you go for the starter pack!) — and it's impossible to know for sure how long these savings will last.
Want open-back over ears? Philips Fidelio X2HR are now a huge 53% off, which brings their sale price right down to just £67.39 (from a suggested retail price of £143.99) which is a deal not seen since they dipped to this fee ever so briefly over Black Friday, late last year. And that's hardly audiophile money, is it?
