I've found 8 great Black Friday Kindle deals – here are the best picks for every budget, including bargain bundles
I've reviewed every Kindle, here are the best e-readers and bundle offers
Every Amazon Kindle e-reader (except the newest ones you can't even buy yet) are on sale in the Amazon Black Friday deals. So if you've been thinking about buying a Kindle as a gift or for yourself, now is the best time, because I've never seen lower prices on most of these Kindle e-readers, and some of these are dropping in price for the first time ever, like the Kindle Colorsoft Signature edition, my personal favorite Kindle for reading books and graphic novels.

A Kindle makes a great gift because it's so versatile. You can use it to read books from Amazon's Kindle store, you can subscribe to Kindle Unlimited for a ton of independent content, or you can even link your Kindle to your library account using an app like Libby, which lets you borrow books to your Kindle for free.
Every Kindle lasts weeks on a full charge, and some are even durable enough to get wet. I tested the Kindle Colorsoft by reading extensively in the tub - it's a great job if you can get it! - so I can promise that these Kindle e-readers are built tough.

The latest version of the standard Kindle is on sale for a record-low price for Black Friday. It's a basic ereader, but it still boasts a four-week battery life and space for thousands of books. Given it's $45 cheaper than the Paperwhite, this is clearly a better pick for the infrequent reader who's after a more budget-friendly option.

This is a return of the same Prime Day deal on the Kindle Paperwhite for Black Friday. The more premium ereader scored four stars in our Kindle Paperwhite review, thanks to its excellent features, best-suited to avid readers. You get a 12-week battery life, a glare-free 7-inch screen, adjustable warm light, and storage space for thousands of books.

The Kindle Colorsoft is down to its lowest price as part of Black Friday. As Amazon's first and only colored Kindle, it's a must-have for people who love reading travel guides, graphic novels, and other genres with a lot of images and photographs. Or if you just want to browse your entire library in its fully vibrant glory. It's USB-C and wireless charging compatible, lasting up to 8 weeks on a full battery.

This updated version of the Kindle Scribe has only been discounted a handful of times in the past, so this Prime Day deal is a new record-low. The Scribe combines some of the best features of the Kindle Paperwhite, such as the glare-free and auto-adjusting display, along with the option to take notes, comment on documents, and doodle using the included stylus pen. Our Kindle Scribe review was down on some missing features that have been added in recent updates, so now this is better value for a multi-functional device.

The latest Amazon Kindle is the best yet: the lightest and most compact version of the ereader so far. It has a brighter front light at max setting, along with a higher contrast ratio and faster page turns. It’s the ideal way to carry hundreds of books with you, thanks to its 16GB storage and 6 weeks of battery life. You can also pay £10 extra to get the version without lockscreen ads.

Amazon has also launched a decent, if a little disappointing, deal on the latest Kindle Paperwhite for Black Friday. We found in our Kindle Paperwhite review that it's packed with features to suit all avid readers, including a 12-week battery life, glare-free 7-inch screen, adjustable warm light, and storage space for thousands of books. This is a good buy and one of the best ereaders out there; it's just a shame that the days of even bigger discounts are well in the past.
Amazon offers bundles with Kindle e-readers as well. The Kids version of the Kindle is just the device with a kid-friendly cover and a short-term subscription to Amazon Kindle Kids Unlimited. The Essentials bundle usually offers a book cover, as well as a wall charger, since there is no charger in the box (a Kindle can use USB-C like your smartphone or laptop).
I don't think the bundles are worth a look in most cases, since Kindle book covers are not expensive if you shop around. However, if you splurge on the Signature edition Kindles, you'll get wireless charging built-in, and then the Essentials bundle with a wireless charging stand is worth considering.

The Kindle Colorsoft Signature edition includes 32GB of storage and wireless charging, but the latter is only useful with a wireless charging stand. Enter this Essentials bundle for the lowest price I've seen when you buy the stand with the Kindle Colorsoft. It's not cheap, but you get to display your full-color collection of book covers bedside with this charging stand, and the faux leather book cover offers nice protection. You're splurging on the Colorsoft anyway, why not get the whole package?

This is the best way to enjoy the Amazon Kindle Scribe (2024), because you can only get the superior green model with 64GB of storage inside, and the faux leather book cover matches the green perfectly and gives you a tidy place to store your pen. In my time reviewing the Scribe, I couldn't imagine using it without this cover, which flips over vertically from the top, helping it to act as a stand as well as a cover. This bundle also includes a charger, but any USB-C charger will do. This is the lowest price on the Kindle Scribe, whether or not you buy the bundle together or just the Scribe itself.
