You could wait for the Galaxy S26 – or perhaps, you could get four free Galaxy S25s with this deal at Verizon while it lasts

January tends to be a pretty quiet time for phone deals on Android devices, mostly because it's the month when we all sit around waiting for the next generation of Samsung Galaxy devices. Right now, however, there is a real highlight over at Verizon on the soon-to-be-older Galaxy S25.

The deal in question is a four-phones-for-free promotion on the carrier's Welcome Unlimited plan. Essentially, you can bundle together four Galaxy S25 on an entry-level unlimited plan that costs just $100/mo – or, just $25/mo per line.

Verizon's new deal on the Galaxy S25 lets you take home four devices on the carrier's entry-level Welcome Unlimited plan without the annoying trade-in criteria. Not only is that in itself fantastic, but the Welcome Unlimited plan is $100/mo for four lines, meaning you're getting a free device on a plan that costs just $25/mo per line. Even with the Galaxy S26 looming, this is an exceptionally strong deal.

Should I wait until the Galaxy S26?

So far, all the latest rumors for the upcoming Galaxy S26 series point to another iterative upgrade, rather than a major one. It's also likely that the series will arrive a little later in February, which again might be another reason to just opt for a cheaper Galaxy S25 right now.

When the Galaxy S26 lands, I don't expect Verizon or any of the big carriers to offer deals in a similar vein to the one showcased above. They usually wait a few months before doing the big multi-device deals, instead opting for more conservative trade-in rebates. We could see the Galaxy S26 available for free without a trade-in, but that will likely be on one of the pricier plans, not the more budget-friendly Welcome Unlimited plan or similar.
