Just a quick PSA, folks. Apple iPhone 17e preorders will end next Wednesday, so there isn't much time left to jump on board if you're looking to be an early adopter.
Several retailers are currently offering excellent deals, and as many of you may already know, the initial preorder phase tends to feature particularly strong promotions. Outside of big sales events like Black Friday, it's usually the best time to consider upgrading your device.
Highlights for today's best promotions include free devices at Verizon and T-Mobile in the US, trade-in rebates of up to $685 / £585 at the official Apple Store, and plan discounts of up to £500 at the UK's leading networks. In short, there are plenty of preorder deals to consider for all types of budgets this week.
I've rounded up the best promos just down below for both territories - most of which I expect will expire or at the very least change next Wednesday. If you're interested in knowing more about the device, take note that our full review will be landing shortly. In the meantime, scroll down for a brief overview of this device's main upgrades, features, and pricing.

Apple iPhone 17e: free with a new line on any unlimited plan at Verizon
Verizon's opening deal on the new iPhone 17e is fantastic if you're looking for an Apple device on a budget. Unlike other new iPhones, you don't actually need to trade-in to get the iPhone 17e for free on a new unlimited data line. According to the criteria, this deal is eligible on all of the carrier's myPlan unlimited plans, too. That includes the Welcome Unlimited tier - a plan that costs just $55/mo for a single line.

Apple iPhone 17e: free with a switch or trade-in at T-Mobile
T-Mobile's opening iPhone 17e deals offer plenty of options for new and existing customers alike today. Firstly, switchers can get a free iPhone 17e if they add an unlimited line at the carrier. Existing customers can trade in for a discount of up to $830 - which is the usual rebate you'll find across all iPhone 17 devices right now. Perhaps the best deal, however, is the 'Four iPhone 17 on Us' promotion, which lets you bundle four devices on the entry-level Essentials unlimited for just $25/mo per line.

Apple iPhone 17e: $16.67 $5.99/mo with an unlimited plan at AT&T
AT&T's opening deal on the new iPhone 17e is one of the better 'budget' options at the carrier right now. Discounts without the associated trade-in criteria are rare at the carrier, but right now you can get the device for just $6/mo with a new unlimited data line. If you're going to trade, I'd still recommend the standard iPhone 17, but this is a strong option for those without a decent phone ready to hand over.

Apple iPhone 17e: get up to $685 off with a trade-in at Apple
Looking for an unlocked device? Apple's your only option today, but the official retailer does have a pretty good deal. Available right now is a trade-in rebate of up to $685 off - a discount that you can technically use to cover the entire cost of the device. Of course, you'll need to be handing over a pretty valuable device to reach that full rebate amount, so mileage may vary here. Still, there's potential for a seriously cheap iPhone here.

Apple iPhone 17e: get up to £585 off with a trade-in at Apple
Over in the UK, potential upgraders can get an excellent trade-in rebate of up to £585 at the official Apple Store this week. Annoyingly, this isn't quite enough to cover the entire cost of the device, but nonetheless, this is likely to be the best saving you'll find if you're looking for an unlocked device specifically. You will, however, need to hand over a pretty valuable device to hit the full rebate here.

What's new with the iPhone 17e?
- Same A19 chipset as the iPhone 17
- Magsafe support
- Upgraded wireless charging
- Now starts with 256GB of storage
As an overview, the iPhone 17e starts at $599 / £599, which is the same price as the previous iPhone 16e. On the surface, this new device looks like a rather iterative generation, but there are quite a few meaningful upgrades that make it an even better value device than the previous model.
For one, the iPhone 17e now runs on the new A19 chip, which is the same processor as the standard iPhone 17 series. That should give you a nice bump in performance overall in everything from games to everyday use.
Beyond the chipset, Apple has made a few practical improvements. The iPhone 17e's base storage has been bumped up to 256GB with no price increase. Wireless charging has also been improved with Magsafe support, and you get a few next-generation portrait features with enhanced Focus and Depth Control. In addition, there are also a few new colors to consider, such as the eye-catching 'soft pink'.
