Moto G22 could launch in India soon with a MediaTek Helio chipset

Motorola is all set to drop a new budget smartphone in India named Moto G22 by next week in India. The smartphone made its global debut in the beginning of March 2022. As per the report published by 91Mobiles, the smartphone will launch in India anywhere between April 4 to 10, 2022.
Motorola could soon drop a teaser or maybe a tweet announcing the launch of the smartphone in the country. As it seems, the smartphone is not going to offer 5G connectivity support. The device could be priced somewhere between Rs 13,000 to Rs 15,000.
It will compete with the recently launched Realme 9i as the device is available at the same price point. The global variant of the smartphone has three colour options - Cosmic Black, Pearl White, and Iceberg Blue. We can expect the same colour options at the time of the India launch.
What can we expect?
Moto G22 is available in the global market and the specifications are already known. The Indian variant could have a 6.22-inch HD+ display along with a 90Hz refresh rate.
The smartphone will be powered by a MediaTek Helio G37 processor. What we think is that Motorola could have done better in terms of processor similar to the iQoo Z6 which includes a Snapdragon 695 processor. The device will get 4GB RAM along with 64GB internal storage which can be expanded further via a MicroSD card.
Now, the RAM capacity and storage have been an issue in recently launched Moto smartphones. Previously launched Moto G51 also has a single 4GB RAM variant with 64GB internal storage. It is being said that the smartphone will be based on the Android 12 operating system delivering near stock Android experience.
In terms of camera, the Moto G22 will sport a quad rear camera setup including 50MP primary snapper, 8MP ultra wide-angle snapper, 2MP macro snapper, and a 2MP depth snapper. The smartphone will house a 5000mAh battery with 15W fast charging support.
