I'm a homes expert, and the Argos sale is crammed with appliance gems — here's what I'd buy

Spring cleaning season may be over, but if you're in the market to get your home spruced up for summer, Argos is the place to go right now. I spent two years as a TechRadar Homes Editor, so I know which brands and products are worth investing in, and this particular sale is packed with good 'uns.

Shark is especially well-represented, with plenty of big price drops on corded upright vacuums (which might be slightly less convenient than a corded but almost always win out when it comes to suction power and longevity, based on my extensive testing), and spot cleaners, for tackling tricky spills on upholstered furniture.

There are tons of kitchen appliance bargains in the mix, too, with leading names like Bosch, De'Longhi, and Nutribullet all represented. For the summer, I'm finding it hard to resist the Ninja Woodfire, down to £379.99 (was £450). This electric BBQ has a compartment for wood pellets to deliver an authentic smoky flavor to whatever's being cooked. (We raved about the smaller version in our Ninja Woodfire review.) It might not be exactly soup season, but £50 off the Ninja hot-and-cold blender and soup maker looks like an unmissable bargain that I'll appreciate when autumn rolls around, too. Read on for more of my hand-picked bargains.
