Temperatures are getting warmer, and if you've been thinking about getting your outdoor space spruced up for the summer, now's the time to do it. Walmart is running a big Patio & Garden Event, with big price-drops on things like outdoor furniture, gardening essentials, BBQs and solar-powered lighting. Essentially, everything you might need to level-up your yard, patio or balcony ready for some top-tier al fresco dinners or gatherings this summer. I spent two years as a TechRadar Homes Editor, and I've picked through the sale to find the gems most worth considering — you'll find my top picks below.

An easy way to transform the feel of your space is by adding some outdoor lighting, and there are plenty of options discounted in the sale, including string lights for overhead and stick lights to pop into your flowerbeds or plant pots. Now's also a great time to invest in a new grill, with a number of extremely well-reviewed Pit Boss BBQs with tasty price drops. Alternatively, maybe you just need somewhere to stash your kids' yard toys, in which case there's a big waterproof deck box with 73% off that should do the trick nicely.
