Black Friday's almost upon us, and if for you this means the opportunity to treat yourself to a cooling bed from the Black Friday mattress deals, you may well have the Cocoon by Sealy Chill mattress on your shopping list.
There's quite a lot to like about the Cocoon by Sealy Chill; particularly its price. You'll find it listed in our best mattress roundup as the best budget cooling mattress, and in our Cocoon by Sealy Chill mattress review we found that it delivers impressive temperature regulation for its affordable price, with our reviewer noting that it's the coolest mattress she's found within its price bracket.
That means it's a no-brainer Black Friday deals purchase, right? Well, actually it's just a little more complex than that. Let me explain:
Cocoon by Sealy Chill Black Friday sale
If you check out the Cocoon by Sealy Chill mattress online you'll see a sweet-looking deal: 35% off in Cocoon by Sealy's Black Friday sale, with a sleep bundle worth up to $199. You'll also notice that the sale is due to end tomorrow, which might well hasten you towards the Add to Cart button.
However if you're me and you've been covering the mattress industry for the past couple of years, including an eight-month residency as TechRadar's sleep editor, what you'll also have noticed is that this is the same deal we see from Cocoon by Sealy every other day of the year, which takes the shine off it a little. (You'll also know, being me, that you can type in the EXTRA25 code at the checkout to get $25 lopped off your bill when you order.)
Now, I'd love few things more than to clock in for my Black Friday shift tomorrow morning and discover that Cocoon by Sealy has upped its discount for the day, or for the weekend, but I have to tell you that the chances of this are slim. So unless you hear otherwise from me, assume that the price you'll be paying on Black Friday is the one you'll pay at any other time.
Cocoon by Sealy Chill mattress: was
$619 now from $374 at Cocoon by Sealy
The Cocoon by Sealy Chill delivers impressive temperature regulation for a very affordable price. The all-foam design is similar to the Nectar, but adds a phase-change cover that the testers found was very effective at keeping the temperatures down. Consider upgrading to the hybrid version for maximum breathability. We think the medium-firm feel is best for front and back sleepers seeking support and pressure relief. The current offer knocks 35% off MSRP, and if you add code EXTRA25, you can chop another $25 off, taking the price of a queen size down to $674. Mattress purchases also come with a big bundle of free bedding: two cooling pillows and a set of cooling sheets.

Should I buy the Cocoon by Sealy Chill on Black Friday?
While there's little chance of you getting an even deeper bargain on the Cocoon by Sealy Chill on Black Friday itself, the fact is that you won't be any worse off either, except in that the Black Friday rush could mean the you have to wait a little longer for your mattress to arrive. Essentially if you're set on the Cocoon by Sealy Chill, Black Friday's as good a day as any to buy it.
If your mind's not made up, though, it might at least pay to consider some of the other cooling options on the market. Its closest rival is probably the Nectar mattress, and we've already posed the question: Should you buy the Nectar or Cocoon by Sealy Chill mattress this Black Friday?
Failing that, take a look at our guide to the best cooling mattress, in which the Cocoon by Sealy Chill is the #2 option. You won't find anything as cheap, but if your budget can stretch further there's the GhostBed Luxe with 50% off for Black Friday, getting you a queen size for $1,548.
However we'd recommend that you look at our top-rated option, the Nectar Premier Copper with 40% off, which means a queen size will cost you $1,169; that's the lowest price we've seen this year.
