With its RTX 4060 graphics card, it's a little older now, but this is still a very, very solid GPU for under $700. Overall, this machine is a solid machine for budget 1080p gaming.

The cheapest RTX 5060 gaming laptop I've found is this MSI Cyborg at Newegg for $999, but I'd honestly recommend spending the $50 extra to get this Gigabyte at Best Buy. It's a little pricey, but you get 32GB of RAM and a much better 1600p display – something that you can't simply upgrade yourself down the line.

This Gigabyte A16 at Newegg is just about the cheapest gaming laptop you'll find anywhere with an RTX 5070 graphics card. Annoyingly, you do only get 16GB of RAM in this configuration, which feels quite stingy on a machine that still costs over $1,000. The Core i7 chipset is an older version too, which again is another sacrifice for getting such a powerful graphics card at this budget.

If I were on the hunt for a high-end choice, I'd be severely tempted by this Acer Predator. Even better still, you get an impressive 16-inch 240Hz OLED display here, which just makes this machine even more premium.

I have an older 13-inch model, and I do recommend Razer's laptops under the proviso that you should know you're paying extra here for the high-end MacBook-like design.
