Not many of us have thousands of dollars to spend on a top-spec drone, but thankfully we don't need anywhere near that level of money set aside. The DJI Mini 4K is one of the best budget drones on the market. We were so impressed with it that we rated it 4.5 out of 5 stars.
Our cameras editor, Timothy Coleman, praises the excellent value and 4K video quality that beats rivals. We also love the 2x video support, Level 5 wind resistance and dynamic movements such as Helix, Circle and Boomerang. These are pro-level features without the high price tag.
It would be remiss of us to not point out that this drone doesn't feature object collision sensors or subject tracking. These features are nice to have but if you don't plan on shooting video in complex areas then the absence of these won't be a problem.
DJI produce a range of options, with our guide to the best DJI drones covering our top picks. If you're happy entertaining other brands such as HoverAir or Ryze, then head over to our best drones guide instead.
