Amazon Prime Day headphone deals 2025: when they start and what to expect
Apple, Bose, Sony, and many other leading brands

This year's Amazon Prime Day could be just around the corner now so it's high time to prepare for headphone deals. The retailer has a great track record for Prime Day headphone deals, and we'll be rounding them for both the US and UK right here on this page.
While Amazon hasn't officially announced the dates for Amazon Prime Day 2025 just yet we expect the retailer's sale will land sometime mid-July based on previous events. We're also expecting record-low prices on some of our favorite models here at TechRadar.
Last year's Prime Day headphone deals included crowd favorites like the Apple AirPods Pro, the Sony WH-1000XM5, and superb options from lesser-known brands like Cambridge Audio and Nothing. If you're interested, you can check out last year's recommended deals just below.
In short, you can likely expect a similarly broad selection this year. Whether you're after a pair of affordable earbuds for casual listening or want to invest in top-tier noise-cancelling headphones, Prime Day 2025 should have something for just about everyone. We'll be keeping tabs on all the major brands - including Apple, Sony, Bose, and more - so be sure to check back closer to the sale for our top picks.
Amazon Prime Day headphone deals: what you need to know
When is Prime Day 2025?
Amazon hasn’t officially confirmed the exact dates for its 2025 Prime Day event yet, but the retailer has stated that the sale will take place sometime in July. Based on previous years, we think the most likely start date for the two-day event is either July 8–9 or July 15. While the final dates are still unannounced, Amazon traditionally holds Prime Day in mid-July, so these estimates are probably close.
Once Amazon confirms the dates, I’ll update this page with all the relevant information. I’ll also be keeping an eye out for standout headphone deals as we get closer to the event and will highlight the best ones here.
Do you need Amazon Prime to buy Prime Day headphone deals?
An Amazon Prime membership is required to take full advantage of Prime Day headphone deals, although some later deals will be available to all. While there are often listings open to everybody on Prime Day, the best deals are usually reserved for prime members only. If you're not a member, don't worry – you can sign up for a free 30-day trial. That will give you access to all the offers – and you can cancel the trial at any time within 30 days.
We also typically see plenty of other retailers offering competing Prime Day headphone deals. In the US, Best Buy and Walmart often price match some of the record-low prices on big-ticket items, and in the UK, Currys often honors price matches from Amazon as well.
Amazon Prime: 30-day free trial
If you've never signed up before you can get a 30-day free trial of Amazon Prime to get access to this year's Prime Day deals. You get the same benefits as paid members, including free delivery, and access to other services such as Prime Video, Prime Music, Prime Gaming and more. You can cancel at any time during the trial to avoid paying the regular fee, which is $14.99 / £8.99 per month.
What Prime Day headphone deals can you expect?
If you're wondering what kind of headphone deals to expect during this year's Prime Day sale, there's plenty of reason to be optimistic. Last year's event in the US featured some of the best discounts we've seen on a range of popular models. Shoppers were able to score record-low prices on high-end options like the Apple AirPods Pro 2, Sony WH-1000XM5 and XM4, and the premium Apple AirPods Max. There were also great choices for those on a tighter budget, including standout deals on the Sony WH-CH520, Nothing Ear (a), and the second-generation Apple AirPods.
UK shoppers weren’t left out either. Prime Day 2024 brought similarly strong discounts across a wide variety of headphones and earbuds. Deals included solid price drops on the Apple AirPods Pro 2, Cambridge Audio Melomania M100, Apple AirPods 3rd Gen, and Sony WH-1000XM4. While the exact discounts vary by model and region, the range of deals meant that there were good options for all price points and headphone types.
In short, you can likely expect a similarly broad selection this year. I've you're interested, I've preserved a number of last year's best Prime Day headphone deals for you to check out just below.
Last year's best Prime Day headphone deals in the US

Apple AirPods Pro 2 (USB-C): was $249.99 now $168.99 at Amazon
The AirPods Pro 2 are the best-selling earbuds on the planet for a reason, and this is a great deal – they're back down to their lowest ever price of $168.99. You get superb sound quality, top-tier noise cancellation, excellent spatial audio, auto-switching between different Apple devices, and an unloseable case.

Nothing Ear (a): was $109 now $77 at Amazon
They've only been around since April 2024, and this is a tidy $2 cheaper than they've ever been. It's a super saving, especially when they got five sweet stars under intense test conditions, just see our Nothing Ear (a) review for reference. A top Prime Day steal if ever I saw one!

JLab Go Air Pop: was $24.99 now $18.88 at Amazon
Before we get carried away, the JLab Go Air Pop are not the last word in sonic brilliance. But they also aren't bad at all – in fact they're alarmingly good for their lowly asking fee. If this is truly where your budget maxes out, you'll get reliable Bluetooth connectivity, killer battery life, comfortable and light earpieces, and solid musicality on the go. It would be churlish to expect more. We have seen them for around $12 before briefly, but not within the last month.

Galaxy Buds 3 Pro: was $279.98 now $209.99 at Samsung
This rare discount on the all-new Galaxy Buds 3 Pro nets you a 16% saving on their $249 now-regular list price, although we listed the original MSRP above for reference. We very briefly saw a bundle deal on these stemmed Sammers buds that dropped them even lower – and that was before their official release – but it's still a tidy saving on some seriously stylish four-star in-ear headphones to go with your Galaxy smartphone (read our full Galaxy Buds 3 Pro review if you need more), and the lowest they've ever been available on Amazon.

Sony WF-C700N: was $119 now $88 at Amazon
The WF-C700N tore up the rule book on what is achievable for this money to smithereens when they landed in April 2023. Are they still among the best noise-nixing earbuds around? Certainly, our five-star Sony WF-C700N review is irrefutable proof. As long as the lack of on-ear volume control or higher-res LDAC support doesn't bug you (and at this level that would be a tad churlish) they're an awesome buy – and this is a whole $10 cheaper than we've ever seen them.

Cambridge Audio Melomania M100: was $219 now $159 at Amazon
These glorious earbuds only arrived in March 2024 and this is the first time I've ever seen a discount of any kind – so a whopping 27% saving is unreal. As TR's audio editor, I personally reviewed them (feel free to check out my glowing Cambridge Audio Melomania M100 review) and I can tell you that sonically and for noise cancellation, they're a stone cold bargain at this all-new lowest ever price.

Bose QuietComfort Earbuds II: was $299 now $169.95 at Amazon
If you want the best noise-blocking power you can get for the price, these deliver it. They also sound superb, and have a ton of useful smart features. But the headline is the noise cancellation, and you can't get better for under $170. Yes, they've been superseded (by the QuietComfort Earbuds Ultra), but we still think as an overall package the QCE II are your best bet, especially at this price. Oh, and this is the cheapest they've ever been – we'd be surprised if they go any lower, even on Prime Day itself.

Samsung Galaxy Buds 2 Pro: was $219 now $99.72 at Amazon
The Galaxy Buds 2 Pro are beautifully compact and the two-way speaker design provides detailed 24-bit audio. The ANC is seriously good too – to prove it, they earned 4.5 stars in our review. Why not the full five? The battery life was the one fly in the ointment, at only five hours from the buds and up to 18 in the case. It's important to note that they're no longer the newest Buds Pro on the block; the decidedly AirPods-esque Galaxy Buds 3 Pro have just arrived. The price has swung around by a few bucks over Prime Day – at under $100, they're a steal, though.

Beats Studio Buds: was $149.95 now $79.99 at Amazon
These Beats buds are back to their joint lowest price right now. Note that these four-star earbuds are not the newer Beats Studio Buds Plus, released in May 2023 (which also received four stars under intense review), but still, if you're after a set of Beats-branded buds for silly money, this deal is impossible to, er… beat!

Apple AirPods 2: was $129 now $69.99 at Amazon
These easy-to-use AirPods quickly pair up with all your Apple devices thanks to the one-tap setup and it’s simple to switch between devices throughout the day. And this price is just 99c off the lowest they've ever been – and it's live now ahead of Prime Day! Note that these charge via the older Lightning connection, not USB-C, but still, at this price, they’re a bargain. They look and feel good in your ears and little details like Siri support and audio sharing are so useful.

Sony WF-1000XM5 earbuds: was $299.99 now $228 at Walmart
Sony's newest flagship wireless ANC earbuds are now the cheapest they've ever been (having briefly dropped to $229.99 during Black Friday last year). The built-in Alexa functionality makes them a joy to interact with and enables users to listen to any track they want without having to jump on their phones. An AI-based noise reduction algorithm and bone conduction sensor might not be as effective at blocking noise as the very best in the business (read more in our Sony WF-1000XM5 review), but they still deliver great results.

Apple AirPods 3rd Gen: was $169 now $119.99 at Amazon
This is another record-low price for AirPods! If you want the spatial audio tech and short-tipped design of the AirPods Pro, but without the in-ear fit, these will work for you nicely. And of course, they've got fast pairing, Find My support, auto-switching between Apple devices, audio sharing and all the usual AirPods smarts.

Earfun Air Pro 3: were $79.99 now $45.90 at Amazon US
You can buy these super cheap noise-canceling earbuds for 43% less than their normal price at Amazon US. Simply use the code 'EAP3ANC1' at checkout, and you're good to go. In our Earfun Air Pro 3 review, we highlighted the earbuds' solid ANC, multipoint pairing and impressive battery life – all of this earned them the title of best wireless earbuds for cheap ANC in our best wireless earbuds guide. There's clearly a lot to love with the Earfun Air Pro 3, and at under $50 we couldn't recommend them highly enough.

Earfun Air 2: were $49.99 now $34.79 at Amazon US
Save a total of 30% on these earbuds when you use the code 'EAIR2ALL' at checkout. In our Earfun Air 2 review, we described them as "some of the best budget earbuds around", thanks to their already super-low price, lightweight design and surprisingly strong sound quality. For less than $35 they're an absolute steal.

Sony WH-1000XM5: was $399 now $298 at Amazon
Quite simply the best in Sony's class-leading wireless over-ear lineup. The older XM4 were outstanding, the XM3 before it were excellent, and it'll come as little surprise to know that Sony's XM5 proposition is also incredibly hard to beat – especially with a whopping 25% off, equalling their lowest ever seen price! They don't fold up like the XM4, but they are some of the best noise-cancelling headphones money can buy from a trusted retailer – now back at their lowest-seen price.

Sony WH-1000XM4: was $348 now $198 at Amazon
The Sony WH-1000XM4 have dropped to $30 lower than their lowest-seen price at Amazon. They may be slightly older cans but, as you probably know, the design's become a modern classic – and with this discount, they’re very difficult to resist. In all honesty, there’s little difference between these and the newer XM5 sound-wise, so consider this purchase a huge bargain. You get excellent noise cancellation, DSEE Extreme audio upscaling, a wealth of essential features and (unlike the XM5) they fold up for easier transport.

Apple AirPods Max: was $549 now $394.99 at Amazon
The Apple AirPods Max are back down to the lowest we've seen them. Dolby Atmos spatial audio sound makes them exceptionally good for listening to movies privately, while they also block out environmental noises around you with highly effective noise cancellation. The sound quality is generally excellent, and they come with plenty of smarts for Apple devices. Note, these are the older Lightning ported cans, not the newest USB-C option.

Bose QuietComfort Headphones: was $349 now $229 at Amazon
The Bose QuietComfort Headphones feature noise cancellation that's basically as good as the elite Bose Ultra headphones, but for a much lower price. The sound quality is good, they offer great comfort in a much-loved design, and offer control from the Bose app. This is $30 higher than the cheapest we've seen these headphones to date, but you never know, they may dip back down to $199 before the end of Prime Day.

Beats Studio Pro: was $349.95 now $169.99 at Amazon
This saving makes Beats' newest over-ears half price compared to their launch price. They're gorgeous looking, easy to use and the sound is good, (read about it in our Beats Studio Pro review) so if the lack of multipoint pairing (they do auto-switch with Apple devices, though) and wearer detection doesn't bother you, this is a very solid deal.

JBL Tune 770NC: was $129.95 now $99.95 at Amazon
These high-comfort ANC headphones are now available for 23% less, which is incredible given that they were already excellent value. The JBL Tune 770NC deliver very good audio out of the box, but they also have adjustable EQ so you can find the perfect sound for you. They also supply strong bass and impressive power, so they're perfect for high-volume listening. So, if you want access to solid ANC and sound quality rolled into one, these are an amazing-value option.

Sony WH-CH520: was $79.99 now $35.99 at Amazon
We know, (*gestures wildly with hands) thir-ty-five-doh-lars! This 55% saving is unreal – especially when you consider that these on-ears gained a glowing 4.5-star review from this publication! The 'cappuccino' colorway offers the biggest discount, but the other options are also on sale for $38; still a massive saving. Sony's DSEE support is a huge perk for the level and while they might not be crammed with additional features, the WH-CH520 have got it where it counts.

Sony ULT Wear: was $199 now $148 at Amazon
These reassuringly big April 2024 over-ears arrived to bridge the gap between Sony's flagship XM-suffixed over-ears and its budget, entry-level WH-CH propositions – and they do a rather good job at that, as our Sony ULT Wear review details. Also, their lowest-seen price before now was $158, so this saving is much improved!

Earfun Wave Pro: was $79.99 now $55.99 at Amazon US
Finally, you can get the fantastic Earfun Wave Pro headphones for just $2 off the lowest we've ever seen them sell for (and that required various codes; this is simple). In our Earfun Wave Pro review, we couldn't get enough of their admirable audio quality, wonderful battery life and impressive build quality. We rated the headphones an astonishingly high 4 and a half stars, so this is a deal not to be missed.

Sony WH-CH720N: was $149.99 now $89 at Amazon
This is another record-low price for Sony headphones – as long as the white colorway suits. As we said in our four-star Sony WH-CH720 review, these mid-range Sony cans pack in a lot of audio finesse and smart features for the price. Unlike Sony's cheaper earbuds, they're not stealing flagship-like performance from the gods, but they're a comfortable, enjoyable listen, and the ANC does a good job of lowering outside noise.
Last year's best Prime Day headphone deals in the UK

Apple AirPods Pro 2 (USB-C): was £249 now £179 at Amazon
The AirPods Pro 2 are the best-selling earbuds on the planet for a reason, and Amazon's Big Deal Day sales have the earbuds for an extra 22% off their already-reduced fee of £229. It's also £10 cheaper than their previously lowest ever price of £189, a fee they briefly dropped to in February 2024. What will you get? Superb sound quality, top-tier noise cancellation, excellent spatial audio, auto-switching between different Apple devices, gesture control and more. Highly recommended for this money.

Nothing Ear (a): was £99 now £69.99 at Amazon
They've only been around since April 2024, and this is a return to the cheapest we've ever seen them sell for in the UK. Considering their relative youth, wealth of talent and the fact that they got five sweet stars under intense test conditions (just see our Nothing Ear (a) review for reference) this 29% saving is a huge win.

Earfun Air Pro 3: were £69.99 now £49.99 at Amazon UK
We like these earbuds a lot for their price, as you can read in our Earfun Air Pro 3 review. The real pull here is shockingly cheap ANC, but these buds are great all-rounders too, and at less than £50, you're sure to be satisfied with them. They amazingly future-proof when it comes to features, too, considering the cheap price – and this equals the cheapest we've ever seen for them.

Cambridge Audio Melomania M100: was £169 now £139 at Amazon
In the UK, these March 2024 talented earbuds are now £30 off, which means 18% of the RRP stays with you. I need to impress upon you that a) this is the first ever discount we've seen on new 2024 earbuds and b) as TR's audio editor, I personally reviewed them – feel free to check out my glowing Cambridge Audio Melomania M100 review – and for sound and noise cancellation, they're a stone cold bargain at this all-new lowest ever price.

Beats Studio Buds Plus: was £179 now £119.99 at Amazon
A return to their lowest-seen price! Beats' May 2023 earbuds, with their winsome design and smart features for both iPhone and Android boast better ANC and more features than their non-Pro suffixed siblings. Read about them in our four-star Beats Studio Buds Plus review.

Apple AirPods 3rd Gen: was £169 now £129 at Amazon
This equals the lowest price we've ever seen for Apple's regular AirPods3 , which feature the spatial audio of AirPods Pro, but without the in-ear fit or active noise cancellation. We'd suggest paying more for AirPods Pro 2 (or the newer AirPods 4 with ANC) if you can, but if this is as far as your budget extends, you'll get all the usual AirPods features, such as auto-switching between Apple devices and Find My support.

Samsung Galaxy Buds 2 Pro: was £219 now £96.40 at Amazon
OK, so the Galaxy Buds 2 Pro have been available for around the £110 price for a few weeks, but this extra Prime Day price shaving is worth yelling about! They're beautifully compact and the two-way speaker design provides detailed 24-bit audio. The ANC is seriously good too – to prove it, they earned 4.5 stars in our review. The battery life was really the only issue under intense review, at only five hours from the buds and up to 18 in the case. Do note that they're no longer the newest Buds Pro on the block either; the decidedly AirPods-esque Galaxy Buds 3 Pro have just arrived. That said, this saving is unreal, if you just need a second pair…

Anker Soundcore P2 Mini: was £35.99 now £19.90 at Amazon
Anker is also offering some super-cheap earbuds as part of this year's Prime Day. While we haven't reviewed this specific model, we have tried the similar Soundcore Life P2 and found they were comfortable with decent audio performance in our four-star review. Expect about the same from these smaller buds, which won't blow you away when it comes to sound quality but are competent and boast a solid 32-hour battery life.

Sony WF-C700N: was £99 now £69 at Amazon
The WF-C700N ripped our notions on what is achievable at this entry level to smithereens when they burst onto the scene in April 2023. Are they still some of the best noise-cancelling earbuds around? Certainly, just see our five-star Sony WF-C700N review. As long as the lack of higher-res LDAC support or and on-ear volume control doesn't worry you (and at this level it really should not) they're an excellent buy – and this is a whole £10 lower than we've ever seen them.

Sony WH-1000XM4: was £350 now £179 at Amazon
This discount is the lowest price we've ever seen for these superb Sony noise-cancelling headphones – by a whole tenner! Although the listed saving is 7%, a quick glance at the original RRP proves you're saving a whopping 48% on the original asking fee. You'd have to spend a lot more to get your hands on ANC over-ears that out-perform these Sony stunners. This is the best price yet on what is truly a modern classic – and they may not be around for much longer. Bargain!

Anker Soundcore Q20: was £49.99 now £38.42 at Amazon
Here's a nice low price for an impressive pair of cheap noise-cancelling headphones. We awarded them four stars in our Anker Soundcore Q20 review for their excellent battery life, comfortable fit and solid sound quality. Of course, the noise-cancellation can't compete with the high-end options from the likes of Sony and Bose, but considering these are literally hundreds of pounds cheaper, the value for money is undeniable. Need some basic headphones to get the job done? Here they are.

Beats Studio Pro: was £349.99 now £219.99 at Amazon
This is the cheapest price we're aware of for Beat's latest noise-cancelling over-ears since their launch. As with all Beats headphones, they look beautiful, and come with great smart features for both Apple devices and Android. In our review, we praised their sound quality and ease of use when it came to features like personalized spatial audio.

Bose QuietComfort Headphones: was £349 now £179 at Amazon
The Bose QuietComfort Headphones feature noise cancellation that's basically as good as the elite Bose Ultra headphones, but for a much lower price. The sound quality is good, they offer great comfort in a much-loved design, and offer control from the Bose app. This is the cheapest we've seen these headphones to date, so don't miss out.
Sony WH-1000XM5: was £379 now £259.99 at Amazon
Quite simply the newest and best in Sony's class-leading wireless over-ear lineup. The older XM4 were outstanding, so it'll come as little surprise to know that Sony's XM5 proposition are also incredibly hard to beat – especially with a whopping £160 off! They briefly (very briefly!) dropped to £239 in January, but we're unsure that'll happen over Prime Day, so if you can afford the extra £20, they're still a top deal. They don't fold up like the XM4, but they're still a comfortable, smart, great-sounding pair of headphones that block outside sound highly effectively.

Bowers & Wilkins PX7 S2e: was £379 now £236 at Amazon
B&W's almost-top tier noise-cancelling over-ears arrived in September 2023, alongside a high price tag. They feel ever-so premium, as you can read about in our Bowers & Wilkins PX7 S2 review (which is of the model these are a small upgrade to). They're beautiful and full-sounding headphones from a revered hi-fi manufacturer.

Edifier W820NB Plus: was £79.99 now £49 at Amazon
If you want to make a nice saving on solid, budget headphones that don't have to be made by Sony, Edifier is a great shout – check out our W820BT review to learn the ins and outs but in a nutshell, these cans are just over a year old and their strength is the excellent touch controls, good battery life and feature-packed app. They aren't our top choice for sound but, at this price, they're well worth a second look…

Sony WH-CH720: was £99.99 now £78 at Amazon
These dropped to £70 over the last Prime Day, but even this price with an extra £8 added back on is cheap for what they are. As we said in our four-star Sony WH-CH720 review, these Sony cans pack in a lot of audio finesse and smart features for the price. Unlike Sony's cheaper earbuds, they're not stealing flagship-like performance from the gods, but they're a comfortable, enjoyable listen, and the ANC does a good job of lowering outside noise.

Sony ULT Wear: was £179 now £129 at Amazon
These April 2024 issue over-ears were launched to bridge the monetary gap between Sony's flagship XM-suffixed offering and its budget, entry-level WH-CH options – and they do a good job at that, as our Sony ULT Wear review describes. Oh, and their lowest-seen price before this was £149, so this is a tidy new £20 discount on top of that. Nice!
