Amazon Prime Big Deal Days is back in October – dates, early deals, and all the info you need
The mini-Prime Day sale is coming on October 7-8

It's beginning to look a lot like Black Friday: Amazon has just announced that it will once again host its Prime Big Deal Days sale in 2025, with this year's event taking place on October 7-8. Effectively a mini-Prime Day sale, savings of up to 40% will be available across the retailer's biggest categories exclusively for Prime members, including tech, appliances, home, toys, fashion, and more.

Some deals, in fact, are live now. For example, in the US, there is a handful of smart home tech and TVs on sale, as well as the added perk of Grubhub Plus for free through Amazon Prime – and for a limited time, you can get a free 10-piece McNuggets meal when you spend $20. Meanwhile, in the UK, an Amazon Music Unlimited membership is 99p for four months.
I've covered Amazon Prime Day for almost a decade now, so you can trust me to bring you all of the top deals and the best buying advice once this spin-off sale gets underway next month. The first step is to ensure you have your Amazon Prime membership set up to access the deals, including signing up for a free Amazon Prime trial if eligible.
Do keep in mind, though, that while I've found Prime Big Deal Days has been a good opportunity to score some early Black Friday deals in previous years, not every offer is often as good as it looks.
For example, when comparing some prices to the main Prime Day sale in July, it's often the case that some Amazon devices (such as Kindles, Fire TV Sticks, Echo Dots, and so on) have been cheaper earlier in the year. Sometimes, the difference may be a matter of a few dollars or pounds, but it's still worth keeping in mind if you're all about securing the best savings.
The TechRadar team and I will be on hand to bring you all of this up-to-date price comparison info and our recommended deals from the Prime Big Deal Days sale throughout the 48-hour sale. Until then, we'll share all the best early offers that are available over the next few weeks as we get warmed up for Black Friday.
How to sign up for Amazon Prime
Just like Amazon Prime Day, you need to be a Prime member to get access to the offers available during Prime Big Deal Days. If you're already signed up, then you're all set, and offers will be available to buy once they go live on October 7 – and pick up any surprise early deals.
If you're new to Amazon Prime, then you can sign up for a 30-day free trial to get access to the deals during Prime Big Deal Days. This option is only available to new subscribers or those returning to the service after a long time. Just be sure to cancel it before the month ends to avoid being charged.
If you're not eligible for the free trial, then Amazon Prime costs $14.99/£8.99/AU$9.99 per month. Alternatively, students and young adults aged 18-22 can get a six-month free trial or 50% off a membership, making it just $7.49/£4.49 per month.
