This AI-powered security camera is just $100 for Black Friday, with solar charging and no sneaky subscription fees
With a unique twisting solar panel that follows the sun
There are some super-affordable home security cameras in this year's Black Friday sales, but there's often a catch: although the cameras themselves are cheap, you'll need to hand over extra cash in the form of a monthly subscription if you want to unlock their full features.
Thankfully not the case with the Baseus Security S2, which is now just $99.98 (was $129.99) at Amazon and is one of the best security cams we've tested this year on TechRadar.

This camera's standout feature is a solar panel that rotates around its chassis throughout the day, following the sun's path to catch as many rays as possible, allowing it to run for up to 150 days between charges. Not only that, it stores recordings locally, and as we discovered in our tests, it generates far fewer positive motion alerts than much more expensive cameras.
The camera can also identify friends and family members thanks to on-board AI facial recognition (something else that would usually require a subscription), and its 4K recordings are super sharp, even at night. If you want to protect your home, it's easily one of Amazon's best Black Friday deals.

Today's best Baseus Security S2 Black Friday deal
Home security without the sneaky subscriptions. This wireless camera from Baseus features on-board storage for your videos, AI person-recognition, and a rotating solar panel that tracks the movement of the sun across the sky - all for just $100 in Amazon's early Black Friday sale. It's a steal, especially considering this 4K version of the Security S2 only launched this year.
When we tested the Baseus S2, we were particularly impressed by the accuracy of its on-board person identification, which accurately identified visitors, even based on faces reflected in windows (something we really weren't expecting).
"What’s more, it also triggered fewer false alerts than other cameras I’ve tested, in part because of the combination of PIR (passive infra-red) and radar technologies to detect movement," added our reviewer Chris Price. "Images are superbly detailed during the day and the spotlight is excellent for illuminating the garden at night to ensure high quality footage in the dark."

These compact cameras lack the S2's rotating solar panel but come in a pack of two for wider coverage. They also include a base station with expandable local storage (up to 16TB) with no subscription fees, and all for just a hair under $100.
Could this be the best deal of Black Friday 2025? Possibly! You're getting a home security camera, a video doorbell, and the Sync Module Core hub to connect them and link them to your Wi-Fi network, and save videos to a USB storage device (no cloud storage necessary).
Double the home security but not the price! This twin-pack of Blink Mini 2 cameras (available in black or white) will give you twice the coverage indoors, with a huge 60% off ahead of Black Friday. It's another record-low price, and a deal to snap up while it lasts.
