Alienware AW3423DWF : was $899.99 now $499.99 at Dell

This premium Alienware gaming monitor is a dream to play on. It has a 34-inch curved QD-OLED display with a WQHD 3440 x 1440 resolution and a 165Hz refresh rate. What's more, you'll find numerous connectivity options on board, as well as support for AMD FreeSync Premium Pro. Other variants are also on offer, but this particular model has the best deal.

Alienware makes some of the best gaming monitors around, and this model looks to be no exception. In our Alienware AW3425DWM review, which is very similar to the AW3423DWF, we were impressed by its pared-back design that focused on the important aspects.

The WQHD (3440 x 1440) resolution is sufficient for its display size, while the 165Hz refresh rate should result in ultra-smooth gameplay, providing you complement the AW3423DWF with the best gaming PC you can. You'll also need to use one of the two DisplayPort interfaces (cable included) to achieve this, as the HDMI connection tops out at 100Hz – although that isn't exactly slow, either.

There are plenty of other ports on the AW3423DWF besides these. No less than five USB connections (four Type-A and one Type-B) are dotted around, all of which employ the SuperSpeed standard, allowing for transfers up to 5 Gbps. There are also two audio jacks: one line-out and one for headphones.

Add to this support for AMD FreeSync Premium Pro, and you have a monitor worthy of elite gaming. And while it's fairly spartan in terms of aesthetics, the Alienware AW3423DWF still features some tasteful RGB on the back to illuminate the logo and model number.
