Cyber Monday isn’t over yet: the M1 MacBook Air is just $499
Cyber Monday is nearing its end – at least on the East Coast of the United States – but this deal is what the shopping holiday is all about. Right now, you can get an M1 MacBook Air at Walmart for what is the lowest price we’ve ever tracked.
The 13-inch MacBook Air with the M1 chip, 8GB of RAM, and 256GB of storage in silver or space gray has dropped to just $499.99. That’s $150 off the $599.99 MSRP Walmart shows, but remember this used to be $999 when Apple officially sold it, so it’s really a nearly $500 discount from the original price.
But either way, while this won’t be the fastest Mac ever, and those looking for one that can handle creative tasks or gaming will want to look elsewhere, an M1 MacBook Air for $499.99 will be fantastic for everyday browsing, emailing, productivity tasks, FaceTime calls, and plenty of streaming.
Considering the Gold version of this MacBook Air is sold out, there’s no telling how long it'll last, so you’ll want to get it while the getting is good.

Today's best Apple M1 MacBook Air Cyber Monday deal
This is really a stupendous deal on the 13-inch MacBook Air with M1. This model comes in silver or space gray with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. It's fantastic for everyday use, think web browsing, productivity, streaming, and FaceTime. Those who need more creative task power or want to game will want to look elsewhere, but the value here is unbeatable at $499.99.
You could say that Apple's M1 MacBook Air really started the Apple Silicon revolution. It took the then classic wedge-designed Apple MacBook Air and added the Apple-made M1 chip – the first version of Apple Silicon. This delivers much faster performance than Intel machines, requires a lot less active cooling, and seriously stretches battery life.
Sure, compared to newer Apple Silicon machines – say, the 14-inch MacBook Pro with M5 – this might show its age with more strenuous tasks, but for everyday basics, a modern-era Mac with the M1 chip for $499.99 will certainly fit the bill. If you simply need a Mac for everyday use cases like web browsing, some apps, and even productivity tasks, this is a really exceptional deal. I'd love to see it with 16GB of RAM, but it is spec'd to 8GB and 256GB of storage, as it was when Apple originally offered it.
This is one of the best deals of Cyber Monday, and you can still score it at Walmart while the M1 MacBook Air remains in stock at $499.
