As expected, the new iPhone 17e is a relatively modest update rather than a major redesign, but it keeps the same $599 / £599 starting price while introducing a handful of meaningful upgrades. Most notably, it now runs on the new A19 chip, which is the same processor from the standard iPhone 17e - bringing the 17e in line with Apple’s latest generation in terms of performance.
Beyond the chipset, Apple has made a few practical improvements. The iPhone 17e's base storage has been bumped up to 256GB with no price increase. Wireless charging also gets a welcome boost with full MagSafe support at up to 15W, replacing the slower 7.5W Qi charging found on its predecessor.
