Jelly Bean finally coming to Galaxy Note 10.1 and Galaxy Tab 2
Look at you now
Users of the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 and Galaxy Tab 2 are in for a treat as Samsung begins to roll out the long-awaited upgrade to Android 4.1 Jelly Bean.
The update is available today for the Wi-Fi models of the Galaxy Note 10.1 and the Galaxy Tab 2 in both 7-inch and 10.1-inch flavors, providing all of the performance enhancements that Jelly Bean brings to tablets.
The Galaxy Note 10.1 gets the better bargain, as the slate also welcomes Samsung Premium Suite as part of its candy-coated update.
Samsung Premium Suite offers new enhancements to the tablet, like the ability to resize and move app windows around for better multitasking.
A suite deal for Galaxy Note 10.1
Most of the Premium Suite features will revolve around using the S Pen stylus.
For example, air view is a new feature that will allow users to preview content by hovering the S Pen over apps without needing to actually open them.
Users can also customize quick command gestures with the S Pen for opening apps, make use of enhanced effects and handwriting tools, and even unlock the Android home screen by taking out the S Pen.

Since the S Pen is the star of Samsung Premium Suite, it will not be included in the Jelly Bean update for the stylus-less Galaxy Tab 2.
There is no word on when LTE models will receive their own Jelly Bean upgrade, though at CES Verizon announced it will include Jelly Bean on the Galaxy Note 10.1 when it starts carrying the tablet this month.
