The 2026 Formula 1 season is here and ready for you to stream from anywhere in the world.
This season has also been one of the most transformative in recent memory. A sweeping new set of technical regulations has fundamentally changed the cars and how they behave on track. In addition to smaller, more compact chassis, the power units now feature a 50-50 split between the internal combustion engine and the electric motor, dramatically increasing the importance of energy deployment.
Now, it’s not as simple as popping that rear wing open and gaining on the car in front, as drivers have to be mindful of the charge they spend. The resulting “yo-yo” racing, with drivers repeatedly gaining and losing positions, has drawn criticism from competitors and fans alike. Still, ongoing developments and adjustments have helped keep the season entertaining.
Despite the sweeping changes, the usual four frontrunners remain at the top: Red Bull, Mercedes, Ferrari and McLaren. The competitive order, however, has shifted throughout the season. Ferrari looked closest to Mercedes before the summer break, but Red Bull has hit top form in recent rounds. Mercedes drivers have won 11 of the 17 Grands Prix so far, while the remaining six victories have been split equally between the other three.
