Keeping an eye on your property has never been easier with a wealth of home security deals making it cheap and simple to secure your home. Right now, you can buy the Blink Outdoor Camera 2K+ at Amazon for £44.99 (was £89.99), which is the very first discount for the latest outdoor camera and a strong way to kick off this year's Spring Deal Days sale.

Only launched last month, the Blink Outdoor Camera 2K+ looks immensely promising, especially at this price. It offers a 2K video resolution with colour vision in low light, while there’s 4X zoom for when you need to see something even closer. Perfect for those times when you want to check that a courier is delivering your parcel to the right safe space, or to see who's calling.

The discount is only on the white model, but it’s a nice-looking and small unit. Crucially, it hasn’t seen a price drop before, so this is a good time to buy new tech for much less than expected.

Today’s best home security camera deal

The Blink Outdoor Camera 2K+ is packed with the essentials. It has 2K video clarity, so you can see what’s going on more clearly. You can also zoom in on what’s happening with 4X zoom, before using the two-way audio to talk to a delivery person or whoever is spotted. It’s simple to set up and weatherproof, with two AA batteries powering the device for up to two years.

We haven’t had a chance to review the Blink Outdoor 2K+ yet, but we have spent time with the smaller Blink Mini 2K+ and gave it 4.5 stars in our review. The indoor version offers “decent 2K video quality”, which is what we’re expecting from the outdoor camera.

As with many of the best home security cameras, you’ll likely want to sign up for a Blink subscription to unlock features like smart notifications, but it’s not essential. You still get all the core features, and I definitely like the sound of that two-year battery life at such an affordable price.

While you’re making your home smarter, consider one of the Amazon Echo deals to pair with this. That way, you can ask Alexa about the camera and even view it on screen with the right Echo unit.
