How to choose a Garmin watch in the Black Friday deals

Your first port of call should be our guide to the best Garmin watches, but the main way to choose is probably price. If you're an active person that likes to get outside, any of the Garmin watches above will be great for you. However, where you are in your fitness journey will dictate which watch you should get.

If you're a jogger, cyclist or gym-goer just starting out, the Garmin Forerunner 55, Garmin Vivoactive series or Garmin Forerunner 165 is going to be ideal for you. These watches contain some smart features, but don't bog you down with metrics you don't need or use, and typically use cheaper materials like plastics over metals.

If you're a more experienced runner, cyclist or triathlete looking for a watch to give you an edge, you're likely going to want a heavy-duty fitness tool like the Garmin Epix or Fenix series. Hikers and campers will enjoy these watches too, with the Garmin Instinct 3 as a cheaper alternative.
