Looking for a gaming laptop that looks premium but on a budget? Right now, you can get the Alienware 16X Aurora Gaming Laptop at Dell for $999.99 (was $1,419.99).

The Alienware 16X Aurora is just one of the few Dell gaming laptops we recommend buying this President's Day. Even though it's the cheapest configuration, the RTX 5050 and Intel Core 7 combo is still fairly robust for the cost if you need a solid, entry-level gaming laptop.

The Alienware 16X Aurora is one of the best gaming laptops to buy during the retailer's President's Day sale if you're shopping for an entry-level device on a tight budget. For under $1,000, the RTX 5050 and Intel Core 7 configuration with 16GB RAM and a 512GB SSD is much more reasonably priced. That's a little pricier than competitors with the same specs, but the Alienware 16X Aurora justifies it with a 240Hz display and a deep blue aluminum chassis that looks as great as it feels.

As mentioned earlier, this cheapest configuration features an RTX 5050, Intel Core 7 processor, 16GB RAM, and a 512GB SSD for storage. I wouldn't put it in the highest tier, but it's the best value for aesthetics and entry-level performance on a budget for games such as Valorant, League of Legends, and Fortnite.

We reviewed an RTX 5070 / Ultra 9 configuration with 32GB RAM for our Alienware 16X Aurora review. In that, we rated it four out of five stars for its 1440p performance, 240Hz refresh rate, and pretty, lightweight chassis. As our reviewer wrote, the Alienware 16X Aurora is more about "simple on-the-go power than benchmark-breaking performance."

If you want the opposite, I'd recommend the Alienware 16 Area-51 Gaming Laptop for $2,119.99 (was $2,719.99). I'd also look at our best gaming laptops just to see what else is out there.
