Lots of LG TVs are getting a great free upgrade – here are the models it's coming to, including OLED and QNED TVs
You get an upgrade! YOU get an upgrade! Everyone get– wait, not you

- webOS 25 is coming to 2023 and 2024 LG OLED TVs
- Will also come to 2022 and 2023 QNED models
- OLED TVs seem to be first in the queue
As we reported at the beginning of 2025, LG will be upgrading select older models to webOS 25 this year. And those upgrades are rolling out now, exactly as promised.
The upgrades are rolling out quite quickly: webOS 25 TVs only started shipping about six months ago. And the upgrade is coming to all 2023 and 2024 LG models, plus OLED and QNED 8K TVs from 2022. According to FlatpanelsHD, the OLED models appear to be first in line.
Why your TV wants the webOS 25 upgrade
The upgrade program is global, and the firmware version is either 33.21.85 or 33.22.15. And when the upgrade is available for your TV it should appear in the update menu. There will also be a downloadable version you can install via a USB stick.
LG's webOS 25 isn't hugely different from the previous version, although it does include the welcome ability to hide pre-installed apps from the homescreen as well as a redesigned smart home hub.
But it introduces some useful improvements including support for 1440p 120Hz, which Nintendo Switch 2 and PC gamers will welcome, plus a new AI sound mode. You'll also be able to upload your own images for screensavers.
According to FlatpanelsHD, the list of models getting the upgrade includes, but is not limited to:
- LG B2, C2 and G2 4K OLED TVs
- LG B3, C3 and G3 4K OLED TVs
- LG B4, C4 and G4 OLED TVs
Models not listed above including QNED and StanbyME models are scheduled for updates between now and early 2026.
