The Kindle Colorsoft is our favourite model by far - and it's just hit a new record-low price at Amazon

Amazon's huge Spring Deal Days sale is live this week, and as anticipated, some of the best deals are reserved for the retailer's own-brand devices. In particular, a real highlight is the Kindle Colorsoft for £164 (was £239).

The Colosoft is Amazon's first-ever colour-display Kindle, and it's a model that's not as partial to discounts as the others in the range. Even better still, today's deal beats the previous record-low from Black Friday by £5.

At £164, today's deal addresses one of the main criticisms from our Kindle Colorsoft review - the price. £240 feels a little steep for a device that's essentially just a colour version of the Paperwhite, but at under £170, it's a good choice in my opinion.

Amazon's record-low price cut on the Kindle Colorsoft is a real highlight in the retailer's ongoing Spring Deal Days sale. Up until now, deals on this model have actually been quite rare, but today's discount beats the previous record by £5. A great deal for a model that we rate highly, not just because of its colour display, but also for its waterproofing and multi-week battery life.

Note that, unlike the annual Prime Day deals, today's discount on the Amazon Kindle Colorsoft is open to all prospective customers - not just Amazon Prime members specifically.
