I'm the resident coffee expert (and trained barista) here at TechRadar, and I've put together this guide to help you get a great deal on a bean-to-cup machine that will give you years of happy brewing.
For me, the most exciting offer right now is the De'Longhi La Specialista Touch for just $699.95 (was $999.95), which is the cheapest it's ever been. This gorgeous machine gives you as much or as little control over your coffee-making as you like, with Bean Adapt Technology to help you achieve perfectly extracted espresso every time. De'Longhi La Specialista Touch

The La Specialista Touch is one of the best espresso machines I've had the pleasure of using, and took the prize for Best Coffee Maker in this year's TechRadar Choice Awards.
It heats fast and maintains consistent pressure and temperature, but what I really like about the Touch is its ability to take control of as much or as little of the coffee-making process as you like. Enter the type of beans you're using, and the machine's Bean Adapt Technology will recommend the optimum settings, or you can set and tinker with them yourself. Grind size, dosage, brew temperature – you can let the machine do the work, or get stuck in yourself.
All the 10 preset drinks are fully customizable too, and you can even choose whether to froth your milk by hand, or push the steam wand down and let it texturize your milk automatically.
It's an excellent coffee maker, whether you're a beginner just dipping your toe in the water, or you already know your way around a portafilter and are looking to upgrade. It's a looker too, and attracted a lot of comments from my colleagues in the TechRadar test kitchen.

The award-winning La Specialista Touch has received a huge $300 price cut for Black Friday, bringing it down to its lowest-ever price. I gave this machine a full five stars thanks to its quality, performance, and versatility – and I think it'll look just perfect in your kitchen.
Budget-friendly
De'Longhi Magnifica Evo

If you're looking for a coffee machine that will handle the whole process for you, and you aren't interested in getting hands-on, the De'Longhi Magnifica Evo is an excellent choice (particularly now that it's got a $300 discount for Black Friday).
During our tests, we found the controls particularly intuitive. Rather than a lengthy touchscreen menu, you choose your drink using a set of buttons, then tweak options like the strength and length using dedicated controls.
The built-in burr grinder has 13 settings to help you find the ideal size for your preferred beans (a double shot should pour in around 28 seconds once you nail it), and the machine cleans itself between brews, making maintenance a breeze. Sometimes I feel like I spend more time cleaning automatic coffee machines than I do actually making coffee, but that's not the case here.
We tested the standard Magnifica Evo with a manual steam wand, but the version on sale for Black Friday at Amazon is the Magnifica Evo Automatic, which has De'Longhi's excellent LatteCrema Hot milk system for lattes and cappuccinos at the touch of a button. In my experience it works equally well with dairy and plant-based milks. Just make sure whatever you're using is fresh and cold before you start, and you'll have perfect froth in an instant.

This smart bean-to-cup machine makes creating custom drinks a breeze, and it's hit a record-low price at Amazon for Black Friday. It's one of the most intuitive espresso machines we've tested, and a great choice for beginners (or just anyone who wants an easier life!)
Versatile
De'Longhi Rivelia

The Rivelia is another compact bean-to-cup espresso machine, with one standout feature: it has two hoppers so you can switch between different beans whenever you like. That's perfect if you like to try different roasts or blends, or (like me) you want to switch to decaf in the afternoon to avoid a restless night's sleep.
There's a menu of 11 coffee drinks to choose from (selectable via a TFT display), and the same LatteCrema Hot milk frothing system as the Magnifica Evo, offering a choice of three foam textures. Want to try iced lattes too? There's an additional LatteCrema Cool upgrade pack that lets you do exactly that.
During testing we were impressed by how quickly the Rivelia came to temperature, and found it was ready to brew in about 30 seconds. Add another 28 to pour a standard double shot, and you can be enjoying a richly-flavored espresso in one minute flat.
This speed, combined with the quick-swap hoppers, makes the Rivelia a great option if you're thinking of upgrading from a pod-based coffee machine, and don't want to be kept waiting for your brew in the morning.

Like all the other machines in this guide, this Rivelia has received a generous $300 price cut for Black Friday 2025. This is the cheapest it's ever been, and a great saving on a super versatile bean-to-cup espresso machine. Being able to switch beans in an instant is a great feature, and one I personally wish was more common!
