With leaks for the Google Pixel 10a appearing all over the internet, we're being treated to some seriously tasty deals on old Pixel phones. That includes the Google Pixel 9a at Amazon for $349 (was $499) – that's one of the best budget smartphone deals we've seen in a long time.

I'm almost always a big fan of buying older-generation phones because smartphone technology doesn't evolve that quickly and they're always significantly cheaper than the latest releases. The Pixel 9a is a very good phone, and right now you can snap it up for its lowest-ever price.

Google Pixel 9a: was $499 now $349 at Amazon

A $150 discount makes this deal the best we've ever seen on Google's popular smartphone. You might be tempted to wait for the Pixel 10a to land, but if you're more interested in snapping up a bargain, then we suggest moving now. The older Pixel 9a has a powerful processor, a slew of AI features, and an excellent camera, which all combine to make it one of the best budget smartphones Google has ever released.

Our Pixel 9a review gives a thorough rundown of all the highs and lows of the Google smartphone. You'll notice that we only awarded it three out of five stars, but that was on account of the phone's aesthetics as well as the poorly implemented image generator tool. These are two elements that you can disregard if you won't be using the phone for image generation and if you like the look of the phone.

On the whole, the Pixel 9a is actually a very good phone, especially considering the price point. We love the results it delivers from the cameras, the seamless integration of Gemini AI, and the durability that the case offers.

If you'd like to explore more about this phone, then take a read of our guide to the five biggest upgrades in the Google Pixel 9a. Highlights include the bigger battery, the more powerful chip, the "best-in-class" camera, and the new AI features.

If the Pixel 9a doesn't do it for you, there are plenty of other phone deals available to you.
