Xiaomi has announced that it will update its smart TV lineup in India. The Smart TV 5A will debut on April 27 during the Xiaomi Next event on April 27.

While we had heard rumblings about the launch, there was nothing concrete yet. The company took to Twitter to announce the arrival of these new TVs.

Though the teaser doesn’t reveal much apart from the frontal design of the TV. What we can see is a large display with almost no bezels on the three sides and a comparatively thicker “chin” with Xiaomi branding at the bottom.

Xiaomi has also put together a landing page to tease the highlights of the TV. This page further hints at the near bezel-less frame and features like “Seamless finish”, “vivid display” and “immersive audio.”

To recall, Xiaomi introduced the Mi TV 4A series in June last year. This lineup includes smart LED TVs in 32-inch, 40-inch and 43-inch display sizes. The upcoming Smart TV 5A is expected to succeed the 4A lineup though we are not sure about the different screen sizes that Xiaomi plans to introduce.

Multiple Xiaomi flagships heading for an India launch

The gala event that Xiaomi is hosting will introduce various products. In a teaser, the company stated that these will be flagship devices in their category.

We already know that the company is looking to introduce the Xiaomi 12 Pro smartphone, there is no clarity on the launch of the Xiaomi 12 and comparatively affordable Xiaomi 12x. Though all the three phones had been unveiled together in the Chinese as well as the international markets.

Apart from the TV and the phones, Xiaomi has also announced that it will finally bring the Xiaomi Pad 5 to the Indian shores. The company revived the Xiaomi Pad lineup last year by launching a couple of slates in China.

Again, we are not sure if the Xiaomi Pad 5 Pro will also be unveiled in India. Once launched, the Xiaomi Pad 5 will be the only second tablet from the company to be made available in India after the original Mi Pad. It is expected to be priced around Rs. 25,000.
