We're just a few days out from Black Friday now, and the deals are heating up; in fact, the one product I'd been keeping a close eye out for has gone on sale, and even better, it's the cheapest it's ever been.

That's right: my beloved Apple Mac mini (M4) is on sale at Best Buy for $479 (was $599), marking the lowest price Apple's signature tiny computer has ever seen. There's a good reason it occupies a prime slot in our ranking of the best desktop PCs (and the best mini PCs too); this dinky device is an absolute powerhouse with an already very reasonable price tag, making this discount even more appealing.

UK shoppers can enjoy a decent price cut on the M4 Mac mini too, with it reduced to £499 (was £599) at Amazon. It's not quite as significant a deal, but it's still the cheapest it's ever been in the UK according to our price-tracking tools!

Save $120 on the fantastic Apple Mac mini with an M4 chip. That means it's pretty much as high-performing as it gets for a mini PC. It's also got a super compact form factor, which means you can place it anywhere on or under your desk, and you won't even notice it's there. This record-low price for Black Friday is a steal.

Simply the best tiny computer on the market right now, you can save a respectable £100 on the latest Mac mini over at Amazon UK. With the M4 chip, it delivers blazing fast performance in an incredibly compact package, all at an incredibly competitive price.

Now, anyone familiar with my tenure covering computer hardware here at TechRadar will already know that I'm... not exactly the biggest fan of Apple. The feeling is mutual, too; they wouldn't even let me write our M4 Mac mini review when it debuted this time last year.

But even a seasoned hater like me can't think of a single criticism to sling at the latest Mac mini. It thoroughly deserves the 5-star rating awarded by my (very lovely) boss Matt Hanson, delivering a new, even more compact design along with truly stellar performance courtesy of the powerful M4 chip. It's powerful, it's tiny, and it's also fully passively-cooled, which makes it completely silent in operation – no fan whine here.
