There's a ton of great TV deals floating around various retailers for Prime Day, but one of my top picks is at Walmart, as part of the brand's 'Deals & More' sale. Right now, you can pick up the 65-inch TCL QM8L for $1,077.99 (was $1,498) at Walmart: an excellent price for one of our most highly rated TVs this year.

The TCL QM8L carries a new type of panel, SQD mini-LED, which according to TCL offers higher color volume and more precise light control. It's got a near-full suite of gaming features, solid audio, and above all, is also excellent value for money. Check out below for some more in-depth thoughts on the QM8L.

'A stunning TV for a great price'
If you want a serious TV upgrade but don't want to fork out too much money, the TCL QM8L is a seriously good option. While it isn't cheap, for what it offers, it's incredibly well-priced.
We found that the QM8L delivers top-notch picture quality with 'gloriously rich' images. It also has high brightness, a wide-viewing angle and smooth motion that make it ideal for sports. Most impressive though is its backlight control. During testing, we found that the there was very limited blooming when bright objects are against dark backgrounds, something that has plagued mini-LED models in the past.
The QM8L also competes with the best gaming TVs. It has four HDMI 2.1 ports, supports full VRR, 4K 144Hz, Dolby Vision gaming and ALLM as well as an ultra-low 9.5ms input lag, up there with the likes of LG and Samsung. Hooking up a PS5, we found that any games played at 120fps resulted in smooth performance.
Elsewhere, the QM8L delivers built-in sound 'good enough to skip a soundbar', with solid spatial audio and detail, and a user-friendly dual-height stand and premium bezel-less design. Really, it's the QM8L's fantastic value that sells it and whenever there's a discount, it should be top of your list.
