A fresh Spider-Man: Brand New Day trailer release rumor is gathering pace online — and Marvel fans think it could be unveiled very soon
- The first trailer for Spider-Man 4 is rumored to be releasing very soon
- One leaker has suggested it could arrive "within a matter of days"
- The Marvel Phase 6 movie will launch in theaters on July 31
Spider-Man: Brand New Day's first trailer could drop "within a matter of days", if a new rumor is to be believed.
Last Friday (January 16), industry insider and X/Twitter user AlexFromCC informed their followers that its arrival "may be imminent" as Sony prepares to kickstart its promotional campaign for the Marvel Phase 6 movie.
There's been some movement from Sony.Hearing a trailer release may be imminent. No date yet, as far as I know. But the recent movements make me think it could be within a matter of days. Time will tell. pic.twitter.com/m98DvyXLA6January 16, 2026
Before you get too excited, fellow webheads, some context is needed.
When it comes to leaks, AlexFromCC's track record is mixed at best. Furthermore, the vague details within their latest post – phrases like "no date yet, as far as I know" and "time will tell" – could be viewed as 'get out of jail free' cards if what they've heard about an inaugural teaser for Spider-Man 4 doesn't come to pass.
I've reached out to Sony for comment on the trailer rumor but, at the time of publication, had not received a response. I'll update this article if I hear back.
When could the Spider-Man: Brand New Day trailer come out?
If we take AlexFromCC's leak at face value, and if you buy into the hype that it's generated among Spider-Man fans, it could drop as soon as today (Monday, January 19).
A quick glance at r/MarvelStudiosSpoilers and r/Spiderman reveals threads full of comments from Marvel fans suggesting it might be broadcast during the 2026 College Football Playoff National Championship match. The game, which sees the Indiana Hoosiers take on the Miami Hurricanes, kicks off at 7:30pm ET / 4:30pm PT.

Again, I want to stress that there's no confirmation that the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) film's first official footage will be shown during this event. So, why are fans increasingly confident that it will be? Two words: Avengers: Doomsday.
Following the release of Doomsday's four teasers, MCU devotees are convinced that this movie's first trailer will debut during the 2026 Super Bowl, which takes place on Sunday, February 8. Considering those teasers have accumulated over one billion streams combined over the past four weeks, the next Avengers flick's first look is the trailer that everyone wants to see during this year's NFL Championship decider.
As popular a character as Spider-Man is, Sony may not want to go toe-to-toe with another of 2026's most exciting new movies from a first trailer reveal standpoint. Why risk doing so and see Doomsday's trailer not only overshadow Brand New Day's, but also dominate online discussions in the aftermath of both teasers' unveilings? That would be reason enough for Sony to unleash Spider-Man 4's teaser trailer between now and February 8, so it has time to shine before more Avengers 5 footage drops.
We'll find out if AlexFromCC was right all along about the release of Spider-Man 4's first teasers very, very soon. In the meantime, find out everything we know so far about Spider-Man: Brand New Day and, if you're feeling particularly brave, learn a thing or two about what could be shown in its first round of footage via this Spider-Man: Brand New Day trailer leak piece.
