Seen here is a comparison of the wide end and the telephoto end of the zoom. The zoom shot is at 1/30, you can really see how the vibration reduction is holding up on that 22x zoom.

The above photo was shot in overcast/snowy daylight, so it's not clear why the metering decided to underexpose this image. In the main, however, the metering was as spot on as can be expected for a camera of this class.

Reds are vibrant without popping too much, and blown highlights did not seem to cause unsightly purple fringing or excessive flare.

The metering coped quite intelligently with most scenes, seen here combined with a good shadow detail and highlight detail in the same frame.
