Don't spend top dollar on a new Dyson vacuum — with prices from just AU$335, you're spoilt for choice
Save up to 53% on premium stick vacuums this Dyson Week
It’s no secret that Dyson makes some of the best cordless vacuums out there, combining performance with a premium and futuristic design aesthetic. That does mean its offerings come with a high price tag (whether it’s actually warranted or not is a different story), and can be somewhat of an aspirational purchase for some households.
If you’ve been eyeing a Dyson stick vacuum but couldn’t justify paying top dollar, then these discounts direct from the Dyson website might just be the opportunity that you’ve been waiting for. Prices start at just AU$335 and you can grab anything from an entry-level model (which is still powerful enough to clean a dirty carpet) to wet-and-dry options if you want a mop as well.
While the V10 Absolute has the biggest discount of AU$700 and now costs just AU$599, the newer V8 Cyclone is cheaper at AU$549, making the latter the better buy as you get the latest technology from Dyson. But neither are our picks for the best Dyson deal this week as the V8 Cyclone has been a lot cheaper previously. So we’ve gone through all the discounts and picked three that we think are worth considering, and it includes a new-release model for under AU$500.
Hurry, though, as these offers end Wednesday, May 20.
The Dyson V8 was one of the British brand’s most popular vacuums when it launched in 2016, so much so that they’ve kept selling it as one of its main affordable offerings. Despite its age, it can still hold its own and is easy to recommend for smaller households. You'll get up to 40 minutes of fade-free power, plus three other attachments besides the Digital Motorbar for versatile cleaning. We have seen it for under AU$300, but this deal isn't too bad. Use the code EXTRA30 at checkout to get this price.
If you’re after a wet and dry vacuum, the V9 Submarine is a great choice for just AU$129 more. While you get slightly less suction at 100 air watts (vs the V8 Origin’s 115 air watts), it’s more versatile as you can either vacuum or mop — just switch out the floorhead! You also get 40 minutes runtime and five attachments in the box (Motorbar head, Submarine wet roller head, combi tool, hair screw tool and crevice tool). This is the lowest price we’ve seen so far for the V9 Submarine, and make sure to use the code EXTRA30 at checkout to get the full savings.
If you live in a bigger space and you need more power, the Gen5detect is the perfect stick vacuum for you, especially at this price. With 280AW of suction, up to 70 minutes runtime and a built-in light on the Fluffy Optic hardfloor attachment, it’s one of our favourites in this category. The only caveat is that the Gen5detect is one of the heavier vacuums we’ve tested at 3.42kg. Otherwise, this discount on one of Dyson’s more powerful offerings is a steal at this price.
