Our scoring system
We use a familiar five-star scoring system, in order to keep things recognizable and simple: the more stars, the better. We rate our products on a number of criteria depending on the specific attributes of a product type, but in general, we're looking at:
- Performance – how well does the product achieve its stated aims?
- Quality – how well is it made, and how reliable will it be?
- Usability/design– how easy is it to use, and how well has it been designed for its purpose?
- Value for money – too expensive relative to the market average? We'll give our view based on the original list price.
