The Huawei P10 may launch early and land as early as February

According to an official invite

We weren’t expecting to see the Huawei P10 until April, but it seems an announcement at least will be happening over a month earlier than that on February 26.

That date comes from an invitation for a press event sent to TechRadar by Huawei itself, so it’s certain that Huawei will be unveiling something on that date, and while the P10 isn’t named the invitation does promise “the global unveiling of a new flagship device.”

With a description like that, there’s basically nothing else the company could be talking about, though it puts the launch surprisingly soon after the high-end Huawei Mate 9.

Flagship season

February 26 is the day before MWC 2017 properly gets going, so could see the Huawei P10 get its share of the limelight just ahead of the launch of even more highly anticipated handsets, like the Samsung Galaxy S8, LG G6 and HTC 11.

While nothing is known for sure about the Huawei P10 yet, rumors point to a 5.5-inch QHD screen, possibly with curved edges, a metal body, a dual-lens camera and up to 6GB of RAM.

If so it could be a significant upgrade over the Huawei P9, while retaining that phone’s key features.
