NordVPN is celebrating its 14th birthday in style. The provider, which launched in February 2012, is giving out free Amazon gift cards to those who sign up for a limited time.
The provider has ranked as our best VPN for almost two of those years. In our testing during that time, it has consistently been not only among the fastest VPNs but also demonstrated superb security capabilities and unblocked content with ease.
While there's no price reduction included with the deal, nor any extra months included, you can claim up to $50 in Amazon gift cards when you purchase any NordVPN plan, except its Basic package. Plus plans give you $20, Complete plans give $40, and Prime plans give the full $50.
These offers are also available in the UK, Canada, and Australia. The vouchers are the same value in each respective currency, though plan availability varies by region. Complete plans are unavailable in the UK, while the Prime plan in the US is replaced by Ultra and Ultimate plans in Canada and the UK, respectively.
Personally, I'd recommend a Plus plan. While it gives the lowest gift card value, it's the best value-for-money available. Although NordVPN hasn't dropped its prices, the Plus plan guarantees you won't be spending on features you might not use. Plus, you'll still get a free Amazon gift card in the process.
NordVPN: up to $50 of Amazon gift cards with 2-year plans
This NordVPN deal is a fan favorite. While its prices haven't been reduced this time round, grabbing a NordVPN deal gives you the chance to get free Amazon gift vouchers on all its non-Basic plans. With any of these plans, you'll get:
🗡️Threat Protection Pro
🔒 NordPass password management
👤 Data breach scanning
📱 10 simultaneous connections
⚡️ Super-quick VPN connections
To get the maximum value gift voucher, you'll need to get the most expensive NordVPN plans. Remember, though, it's only worth upgrading to plans that offer features you think you'll actually use.
What you need to know
Your Amazon gift voucher will arrive between 31 and 50 days after purchase. This is so to prevent people claiming a voucher and then immediately triggering the company's 30-day money-back guarantee.
It's also worth remembering to turn off auto-renewals once you're signed up. This ensures you're not hit by NordVPN's renewal prices once the two years end.
If you're after an alternative, cheaper solution, Proton is only $2.99 per month right now — its second-lowest price of the year. Surfshark, NordVPN's NordSecurity counterpart, is also a great alternative if you like the idea of having a spread of additional features included alongside the VPN. The best-value Surfshark plan, the One plan, is only $2.19 per month, too.
Unsure which NordVPN Birthday Sale deal to choose? Here's a complete comparison of what you get with each plan, depending on your region.
